It seemed the smell of alcohol overwhelmed the spices.

Barrel Trolley Belgian White
12 oz. brown bottle, coded "2263 18:00 2E"
Appearance: Cloudy deep yellow-gold body. Creamy off-white head. Better than average head retention and lacing.
Smell: Soft coriander, sweetish wheat malt intertwined with notes of orange. Pleasant. Welcoming.
Taste: Malty sweet upfront with a distinct wheat character. Coriander and orange follow, and then linger into the finish. What's lacking is any distinct yeast character, and a touch of tartness, but it still gets by on its own. Moderate bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Moderate bitterness. Neither really meet the style guidelines, and it loses character without a crisper carbonic bite.
Overall: Not a bad beer at all, but not a very good example of a Belgian-style witbier. The flavor profile hits most of the right notes but it's full bodied, and full flavored... much more American in character. Still, there are no defects, and it's easy to drink.

A: straw blond, very hazy which is fine for style.Snow white1 finger head with some fish eyes ---some lace,
S: Pleasant earthy undertones with big citrus
T:Not sure what appealed to me--acidic maybe, but not enough complexity to keep my interest.
M: Kind of tangy.
O: I like wheat beers a lot--this one may not be the one for me. By contrast I tried aommegang witte at the same time. It shraed elements but semmed somuch better integrated and refreshing.
