Appearance: Pours a hazy pale gold with a huge, fluffy white head that settles slowly and leaves a thick and sticky lacing all the way down. Impressive.
Smell: Wheat and spice (corriander) are the dominating scents. Not much else. Perhaps a faint metallic scent.
Taste: Taste is wheat, spice, green apples, and a metallic finish/aftertaste that is very unappealing. Great taste (~4.0) until the finish. Thoroughly disappointed.
Mouthfeel: Nice light body, high carbonation, crisp finish. A drinkable beer.
Overall: Great looking beer that falls flat on its face with the metallic aftertaste. Maybe I got a bad batch, but I won't be trying it again soon.

It seemed the smell of alcohol overwhelmed the spices.

Barrel Trolley Belgian White
12 oz. brown bottle, coded "2263 18:00 2E"
Appearance: Cloudy deep yellow-gold body. Creamy off-white head. Better than average head retention and lacing.
Smell: Soft coriander, sweetish wheat malt intertwined with notes of orange. Pleasant. Welcoming.
Taste: Malty sweet upfront with a distinct wheat character. Coriander and orange follow, and then linger into the finish. What's lacking is any distinct yeast character, and a touch of tartness, but it still gets by on its own. Moderate bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Moderate bitterness. Neither really meet the style guidelines, and it loses character without a crisper carbonic bite.
Overall: Not a bad beer at all, but not a very good example of a Belgian-style witbier. The flavor profile hits most of the right notes but it's full bodied, and full flavored... much more American in character. Still, there are no defects, and it's easy to drink.
