Brewed by World Brews, California, you say? The label says Rochester, NY. What's going on here?
Pours a clear amber with about a finger of quickly disappearing head. Looks pretty good to me at first but no head retention whatsoever. Quite a weak nose. Smelling it repeatedly doesn't help - honey sweetness and nothing else I can really discern.
Taste-wise I am inclined to doubt that this is an ale at all. A thin-bodied, sweet thing that tastes of caramel and pears and pretty much nothing else. Metallic/herbal hops in the finish, lingering bitterness. Not sure what to make of this.
Thin and underwhelming in the mouth. Inoffensive but too sweet to be sessionable. A few bucks more expensive than as good or better beers. Interest in craft beer in Australia is finally starting to take off and as such shit like this, available though big liquor chains, has found it's niche. It's not as bad as XXXX, but nor is it particularly good. It is well-packaged and from "New York", though.

12 oz. bottle, no apparent bottled on date present. Acquired at the local Jewel Osco, $12.00 for a 12 pack. I should probably note that my bottle is different than the one pictured, with a blue label and claiming a 5.30% abv rather than 5.4% as BeerAdvocate says.
Poured into a Firestone Walker pint glass.
A - After it finished overflowing from the bottle, it poured me a nice two fingers of fluffy white head with decent retention, on top of a somewhat cloudy yellow-orange body.
S - Muted hops and pale dusty malts. Vague sweet tea leaf type smell.
T - Light fruity lemon hops, dry pale malt, and copper. Metallic copper taste is a bit dominant. Finishes with a bit of green apple skin sweetness.
M - Mouthfeel is neutral, nothing really to speak of. Not bitter, not hoppy. Finishes itself off pretty quickly. Thin and watery, with a bit of dry malts and copper being the only tastes that linger around.
Overall, a very boring mediocre beer, much like many of it's companions apparently. The only friend of this beer that I have drank was the R.J. King Wingwalker India Pale Ale, which was by far a better choice. Light bodied and lightly carbonated, yet the two bottles of this sh*t that I've uncapped both exploded foam, so needless to say this beer is pissing me off. Moderate abv, but I would spring for the IPA if you're ever in a pinch and need to get your quick buzz because it's tastier and has a higher abv. Not a beer I will be trying again after I kill this 12 pack.

12oz bottle. No answer to my simple queries from anyone even remotely related to the production, delivery, or retail side of this beer leads me to make rash assertions as to the origins of the offering, or rather the incestuous nature thereof.
This beer pours a clear, medium golden amber colour, with two fingers of foamy, mildly bubbly dirty white head, which leaves a few thin streaks of bridge-like lace around the glass as it quickly bleeds into the ether.
It smells of musty caramel malt, semi-sweet orchard fruit, a bit of overripe black berries, and some mildly funky earthy, leafy hops. The taste is grainy caramel malt, a touch of sour breadiness, bland earthy fruitiness - peaches and apples, mostly - and dead-eyed (anthropomorphized, apparently) leafy hops.
The carbonation is quite neutered, and barely noticeable, the body a so-so medium weight, and too pithy and cloying to be deemed all that smooth. It finishes on the sweet side, the grainy caramel malt still buoyed by a stale fruitiness, as the hops seem to be truly absent by this point, replaced by a small, finally evolved plastic twinge.
I'm not getting that unpleasant from the get-go impression that its colleagues seem to engender, so colour me surprised, I suppose, but its overall essence still gives me the minor willies, only if there's really nothing else on offer to make me change my mind.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Sounds dangerous... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises funky orange peel, mild greens, cilantro, and dry biscuit. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a vein of what I can only describe as flat, old Squirt. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, a fairly sad little pale ale, one that lacks all sorts of character.

Pours a light straw color with about 1cm of chunky white head that's fading away, but lacing around the edges. Smells mostly of water with a very slight citrus scent. The taste is fairly clean, very faintly hoppy. Finishes clean. Mouthfeel is watery and flat. Overall, it's flavorless and flat. Something someone that enjoys macros would enjoy.

Bottle: brown 355mL bottle, funky and classically styled label.
Appearance: light amber colouring with a big, bubbling head. Crisp, clear and very enticing.
Aroma: a reasonably strong aroma of citric hops.
Taste: the citric hop flavours maintain, but also a clean, light malt.
Aftertaste: that lovely hops flavour lingers over the citrus.
Mouth feel: moderate body and carbonation, suits the style well and brings the flavours forward.
Overall: very nice American Pale Ale. Nicely hopped, nicely combined flavours. Lovely sessional beer if in the mood for a sweetish citrus beer with some nice hops bitterness undertones.

12oz bottle from Woolworths Liquor, West Ryde, poured into a Golden Monkey tulip.
True gold in colour, with a nice off-white foam on top that retains well. Some streaky lacing.
Smell is slightly sweet, some apricot and a touch of mango, but otherwise not much else there.
Dull citrus taste, some apricot in there, but otherwise metallic and a fair bit of it.
Slightly creamy mouthfeel, some metallic bitterness. Some gaps in the feel, watery in patches.
Leaves you feeling underwhelmed, but thankful that you don't have another in the fridge. Needs a hopping overhaul and to rid itself of a metallic flavour and you might have an average beer.

A - Pours a misty mid-amber under half a finger of creamy white head and then short rings of lace.
S - Very low on hops, I'm getting some hay. Clean and lightly floral.
T - Slightly vinuous, green apple and lemon. Bland.
M - Light to medium bodied, with moderate carbonation.
O - Pretty disappointing. Leave it on the shelf.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Reviewed from notes.
A- Finger and a half width head. Bubbly off-white head. Orange color.
S- Heavy floral hops, some straw smells as well.
T- Light tastes, floral hops that finish sweet and smooth.
M- Light and well carbonated.
O- Something isn't right about it. Soapy and grassy. Not too bad for a cheap beer though.

Copper pour, 1" head, a smattering of lace with equally inconsistent retention. Overall, the beer looks just fine. Aroma, really disappointing if you go for hop aroma. Just a bitter aroma. Super alpha acid hopping used in low quantity.
Just bitter, like a major copper flavor going on here. Could call it grapefruit-penny-anti-hop pale ale. A ton of carbonation. Just like what is all too commone in pales/ipas/dipas, tons of bitter viciousness, but no hop mouthfeel.
Why does this investment group called World Brews always acquire the worst garbage and find ways to put it out thousands of miles away. Can't say I've ever had anything worth having fromo them, again.

Pours a light amber with nice fluffy, persistent head. Absolutely brilliantly clear. A very inviting beer to simply look at!
Initial smell is a slightly underwhelming whiff of citrus hops (possibly cascade and centennial). Despite this, one might forgive the lack of hop kick in the nose due to the length of time on the shelf.
Taste is clean. VERY clean. No yeast flavor present. It's almost a yeast flavour unto itself - the really clean fermentation flavour. Hops just slightly more prominent in the taste with a nice, well-balanced bitterness.
All in all, an enjoyable APA from a previously unknown (by me) american brewery.

Pours medium orange with a white head that disappears. No lace.
Toasted malt and some caramel in the nose.
Toasted malt, some caramel sweetness, some surprise citric hop notes, but not enough to balance out the fairly pedestrian malt profile. Malt goes a touch bready and has a slight sour taste as the palate clears. Bitterness in the finish is mild.
Medium to medium light in body. Ok carbonation.
They made up for shortcomings with some hops. You get the feeling they know they are a bit lean in the malt dept. A beer going in the right direction with some stumbles on the way. Better than some, worse than others. I'd get a bit bored after a couple, but still worth drinking. This is more grilling beer than anything.
