I saw the reviews here and decide to try the place. David wasn't there but Scott was and he was very helpful. I had been going to Total Wine but like to support local guys when I can. This was such a different experience. Instead of being ignored, which is the usual case to Total Wine on High Point Rd. (they generally are pretty helpful on wine though), Scott was friendly and offered suggestions. He was familiar with their product, offered a sample of what they had on tap, and invited me to their beer tasting.

Local people, some local brews, good, friendly service. It can't be beat. I will be back.

I was lucky to find Brewer's Kettle when it first opened. Until late 2011 David Armstrong, the owner, had to have another job to assure that his true love, Specialty Beer in the Brewer's Kettle, would survive. In that time David's wife manned the cash register when he wasn't available. David is now there full time and I know he loves it.

I've decided that the small space is what makes this so special. It's cozy and promotes a friendly atmosphere. No question is out of bounds. David is but a step away with help.

I think the selection has now grown to almost 300 beers from around the World. We all have our favorites but mine is Aventinus by Schneider. He has added wine and specialty ciders. Try Ace Perry Cider or Oliver Peach.

I must admit that anyone who goes to Brewers Kettle becomes a friend. That's what I feel when I'm there. I'm with friends, close friends.

I had the pleasure of meeting David (the owner) after some recommendations from guy's in my brew club (HOPS) and following him on twitter. He had a Scottish Beer tasting and I figured it was time to drop by. I had a chance to talk with him before a crowd started building for the tasting started and the guy knows his stuff. He's a former home brewer and knows the ins and outs of brewing (as opposed to a store owner that just sells a product). The Scotch beers that were sampled were very nice and he gave me a discount for buying a mixed case - buy 24 bottles, 6ers, 4 packs, and/or singles in any combination and he hooks you up. I like that they have singles available for those that you want to try without having to buy a 6 pack. It definately beats Total Wine High Point Rd. (where beers go to die). I'll be stopping in more often now that I've found it .... maybe you shoud give it a try too.

Met David (the owner) a couple times and boy, does he know his beer! This joint doesn't offer much as far as atmosphere goes but if you want good beer, this is your spot. In the past I have had to drive all the way to Greensboro or Winston to get to a beer store with a decent selection, but The Brewers Kettle fixed that. It offers alot of different styles for the customer and it also keeps a good stock of some pretty rare stuff. Can't find what you need, ask David, he is very in-tune with the beer community.

A: This place is on the end of a little strip mall. It's tiny, but they do the best they can with it.

Q: There's a lot of growlers in the fridges that I didn't get to check dates on. I'm not an expert on growlers of beer, but i've always taken a trip out to the source and gotten it myself. Didn't taste it for myself, so I can't hold this score against them. Otherwise, nothing else seemed off.

Selection: Some of the best I bet anyone can get out in highpoint. I went out there on a whim, and came back with a few gems I couldn't even find in the big beer/wine stores in the city. Whoever owns this place cares.

Service: Small place. One person on duty. Nothing you can complain about... maybe the music that's playing at the time? I didnt' really need to ask a question, so i don't know the staff's knowledge of beer.

Overall: If i lived in highpoint, i doubt i'd go anywhere else unless i just wanted to walk down to a grocerystore

A very nice hole in the wall place with a great selection of brews. The staff here is very welcoming and always up for a quick chat on recommendations or other hobbies. Met David Armstrong, the owner, and we ended up talking about music which we probably could of done for about an hour or so. But instead they recommended a couple good brews and I was quite surprised to find some rare brews that I thought I was too late to get.

They probably have easily over 200 or 300 brews and some wines as well. They also have kegs and can help plan your event what ever it may be.

The ONLY place in High Point. Right off Main Street. Can't miss it.

I was just reviewing some of my reviews and noticed that my review from the Brewer's Kettle was either lost or erased or I didnt enter it. So, I shall hopefully add the record today.

Located right across the strett from Lowes Home Improvement, this place is easy to find. I have been here many times since they opened in 2009. Anyone who I have encountered there has been very friendly. Even if I asked about a beer and they didnt have it, they are always keen on getting the beer in the store or try to find out more info on the beer.

The selection is really quite great. When they first opened, it seemed the selection was average at best. Now that they have some age on them, they are getting in some good stuff with decent prices on them. My most recent purchase was a 750ml of Mother Earth Silent Night for around $15.

Overall, this is the only place in High Point worthe seeking out for your bottled beer needs. The place is really small but they make the most of the space available.

This place is really great. Small little hole in the wall off the main road, barely notice it. However, the selection is great. It isn't as large as some other places, but it's still pretty good. The guy who owns the place is very knowledgeable about the beers and has great suggestions. Also, he didn't carry a beer that I liked so he offered to order it and it was stocked in less than a week. The prices are fair

For a small town like High Point, it's a convenient to get micro brews and other beers so you don't have to drive out to Winston or Greensboro.

I have been to this store twice now. I was amazed at the selection of the beers. My first time in and I felt like a friend not just "money" walking in the door. Make sure you meet David- all I have to say is "Amazing" his knowledge and personality can't be beat. You can tell him what you like and he can pick out 2 or 3 right away. I have even emailed him a question on a beer and he was more than happy to help me and give me suggestions. Were do you find service like this anymore! If you want to experience a "beer" store..THIS IS THE PLACE....

The Brewer's Kettle is the best place to pick up great beer in the Triad area, NC! I didn't know what to expect going in the first time, but the owner was extremely helpful and hand selected several beers for me according to what I liked. I've never had that kind of service anywhere else!

Each time I go back, I get the same service and experience. The selection is incredible and I've been able to try many beers I've never seen before. I'd much rather buy beer here than the grocery store!

I HIGHLY recommend you checking this place out!
