A nice serviceable IPA. Pleasant mid-brown coloured body with lots of off-white lace. Very faint hop aroma. Lots of caramel sweetness and British hops. Very drinkable, a bit above average mouthfeel and on the dry side. Pretty hoppy for an english IPA.

Appearance - This beer pours a dark amber red color with 2 fingers of off white head, The head stays and carbonation seems lively but There are chunks floating around in the beer and they dont look very nice. I get unfiltered but chunks like this are a no no regardless.
Aroma - Caramel, roasted nuts, toffee, brown sugar, molasses, some dark fruits, lemon, grapefruit, and floral hops. Like an English IPA should the malts hold up the hops but the aroma's just don't mesh the way they should in my mind, Its a good smell but not spectacular.
Taste - Buscuity malts hit my tongue first followed by caramel, toffee, molasses, some brown sugar, this is followed by tons of earthy floral hops and some light citrusy flavors, again a hint of lemon some grapefruit. The taste is less Complex than the nose and comes together in a slightly better way but still seems to be close in rating to the taste.
Feel - Medium light body, refreshing carbonation, really mild bitterness overall.
Overall - This is an average English IPA, They definitely got the setup right and the malts are the main factor supported by the hops. The problem for me is the flavors down stand out, Its in the range of what your would expect from a basic English IPA. Cheers!

Dark Ruby-ish Amber Colour, brown in lower light setting, but very clear, not much haziness (is this filtered?). One finger head with little to no retention, a bit of spotty lacing.
Nose: A bit of pumpkin spice?? Sweet Caramel Malt, Not a huge amount of hop aromas for a classic IPA, which at an ibu in the 60's is a little disappointing....
Taste: Very nice! The sweet caramel toasty malt flavors of a red/dark beer, combined with grassy bitter hops. A nice combination.
Mouth: Low to medium carbonation, regular body. not very sticky.
Overall: Really nice, not very typical for a classic IPA honestly. IPA hops, combined with the malt flavors of a typical brown/amber beer. I tried several pale ales from the "simple malt" collection by brasseurs illimites, im not impressed, but theyre very drinkable. However, this one was probably my favorite!! If you can get it its worth a shot

Deep amber color, borderline brown. Crystal clear. Lumpy head that leaves a thin ring of lace.
Lots of caramel from a deeply roasted crystal malt. Plenty of perfume, although not much hop.
Dark malt start but the hop rounds off the flavor nicely. Rich body with a moderate carbonation. The aftertaste leans to the malt but it lasts a long time. This isn't for the hop lovers, but it is a well balanced beer.
