B plus beer bar and A plus food

12 on tap including local craft beers like OLd Mecklenburg. It's a german restrant so they have just about every german beer possible. Not just the standard lagers and weisses that normal german resturatns but Celebrator, Aecht Scehlenkra, Weihenstephaner, Ressdorf, and Augustiner. But zero macro beers... Food is top notch german cuisine and they place is a beautiful german style building.

The food is great, we had beer cheese soup and the pretzel rolls are to die for. Schnitzel and spatzel were excellent. Everyone seemed to be really happy with their food. It's well done!

The best German beer line up in the Charlotte area, with 12 taps and 25+ bottles regularly available, if you want a great import beer this is the place. Granted, if you don't want German beer than you'll be disappointed. For the rest of us that love Spaten, Franziskaner, Bischoff, Paulaner, Ayinger, Schneider and others, you can't go wrong. And if you join their beer club you receive a mug, small discount and advance notice of special events, such as their Oktoberfest celebration.

Top that off with delicious German food at reasonable rates (and a weekly buffet) and the only thing missing from a real Bavarian experience is the airfare. The Waldhorn has quickly become one of my favorite places in Charlotte and after a few visits you'll feel like a regular. Prost!
