A bit thin tasting after having just had a Duvel. Picked it up as a single can in grocery store. Not sure I would buy it again, but is nice as a trial/one off. Not up to typical Belgian standards though.

The label sez "POST HORN" so I wondered if there also was a "PRE HORN". But alas, the image on the 0.5l can suggests a posthorn. Oh well. This "IMPORTED EXTRA STRONG BEER" or "BIERE IMPORTEE EXTRA FORTE" is produced by brewery De Posthoorn (hence POST HORN) in Breda. So, not imported after all. Picked up a can at my local grocer Vomar in Amsterdam. As the previous reviewer states this is a typical GDF (Get Drunk Fast) beer and it did its job well. This beer basically is a pilsner with extra alcohol splashed in. It's not as strong as the ridiculous Het Kanon from Grolsch but still noticeable.

After pouring it developed a thick head in my 0.4l cylindrical Krombacher Pils glass (yeah! refill!) that quickly receded into a thin lacing. It's a slightly darker yellow than pilsner. It smells sweet and it tastes sweet too thanks to the added sugar. Typical hoppy pilsner taste, slightly bitter. Not bad for a cheapo beer like this.

Can of 500 ml.
Pours a dark golden yellow coloured beer with an enormous head of almost three fingers that goes away fast, leaving almost no lacing on the glass.
Smell of old bread and ony slighty of alcohol. Other than that, nothing special.
Taste is sweet-ish, the high ABV is not that traceable.
Medium thickness on the body and light carbonation.
Overall, yeah, why not if you want to get drunk fast and cheap.
