Pours a dark amber color with a one finger foamy white head that leaves rings of lacing all down the glass.
Smells like resinous hops with some malts. a little breadiness.
This beer certainly pulls no punches, with plenty of bitterness and almost no malts. Very hop forward.
Bitterness keeps it from being too smooth, which is great for a hoppy IPA. Light-medium body.
I kinda feel like I've been punched in the face. Not a bad punch, but a happy punch. A hoppy punch, if you will. Hop forward is an understatement. So good...

Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a coppery orange amber. One finger fine whtie head with good retention and lacing. Muted aroma of sweet malt and a hint of citrus, very slight hops. Flavor is well integrated sweet, slightly biscuity malt and grassy hops. Finish brings out a bit more spicy hops leaving a pleasant hops aftertaste. Medium bodied with a bit of creaminess and nice active carbonation. This is certainly not a hop forward IPA, but I liked the melding of the hops and malt. On the mellow end of the IPA spectrum, but enjoyable.

12 oz bottle.
A- Deep hazy copper color with white 1 finger head. Decent lacing.
S- Unfortunately, this might not be the freshest bottle because I am not getting a lot of hops in the smell. Slight citrus hops and big malt. Fresh on tap, this beer has a nice floral nose.
T- Taste is better than the smell. The hops are much more present. Great balance with this beer.
M- Medium mouthfeel with good carbonation. I like the drink of this beer a lot. Very satisfying.
O- This brewery was my local watering hole when I worked in Enterprise for the Forest Service. This was my first IPA I really got into. The other option was Deschutes Quail Springs at the time and this was much hoppier. How times have changed. :) I still really enjoy this beer and pick it over many "newer" IPAs today.

A: deep golden honey with hints of orange; good head
S: some malt, bright Meyer lemons; one dimensional
T: rich and full but not complex; wish there was more fesh hops instead of malt domination; nicely balanced, some bitterness
M: rich, fully
O: a pretty good beer that I'd like to try on tap or maybe a fresher bottle. Wish the alcohol level was a little lower than the 6.9%.
