a- Very, very murky dark red/brown with a minimal amount of head.
s- It almost smells like a red wine. It is slighty fruity with a strong booze smell.
t- Tastes a little flat with a very sweet boozy taste. There is also a little bit of a sour aftertaste.
m/d- This is a slow drinker. I am very unsure of what I actually think about it. Some drinks are sweet and enjoyable while others leave a bitter/sour cringe in the mouth. Every drink is a little different and it is an interesting drink.

Thanks to hotpipes29 for sending this one as part of our trade! Reviewed from long-standing notes. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into an El Catador barrel-aged glass.
A: Very dark brown, with minimal visible carbonation and nearly opaque. No true head formation – just a few foamy bubbles at the top. Some big dark chunks came out of the bottle when I rinsed the bottle after pouring - fortunately (I think) I managed to decant these when I poured my glass.
S: Boozy and fusel, and dark fruits that are sticky sweet - plums and raisins and prunes. There are mild fruity apple esters as well. A slight vanilla underneath, reminiscent of a woody/oaky aroma. Some brown sugar and a bit of caramel or molasses.
T: Less "hot" than the nose suggested. Still has the big dark sticky fruits (prunes and raisins) with some dried cherries. It still has some significant alcohol heat and ethanol sweetness, but not the burn that the nose promised. Flavors of brown sugar, malt sweetness, and more mild caramel. Intermittent impression of some background chocolate. The sweet fruit flavors last with the alcohol heat into the hang.
M: A lighter body than most in style. Very low carbonation sensation – this is essentially flat. The alcohol presence seems average for style - though it certainly smelled more than that on the nose.
O: The flavors are there, but the flatness accentuated by the somewhat light body hurts the enjoyment factor. Unless this bottle was off with the carbonation, it's nothing I’d be in a hurry to repeat. But it has some promise.

A -pours a deep ruddy brown hue with little to no head.
S- toffee, booze, burnt caramel, prune, fig, raisin, grape
T- dark fruit, raisin, toasted bread, caramel up front with an untamed alcohol bite on the back end followed by residual sweetness.
M- medium bodied with medium to low carbonation.
D- have been holding on to this for years and there is still deep, untamed alcohol on the back end and a little sweetness that borders on cloying. Very interesting brew that I loved sticking my nose in but ultimately this beer was one that I should have shared.

12oz bottle from '09 or so, poured into a Fantôme tulip.
A: Dark brown body with almost no head. Weak.
S: Cherry cough syrup, booze-soaked fig newton, and sherry oxidation. Weird, intense, and interesting enough.
T: Sweet toffee and sherry up front, with rich fig and cherry behind. Big boozy finish. Overwhelming, and not in a good way.
M: Pretty still, quite sticky. Meh.
O: Kuhnhenn's hits are off the charts, and so can be their misses. Sadly this is the latter.
Cheers!
