This is our 4th Dementia Olde Ale that has been bourbon barrel aged. This ale has an intense sweet caramel malt flavor and aroma that develops into a toffee/toasted marsh mellow like character.

8/5/11. 12oz bottle courtesy KickInChalice. Cloudy dark brown pour with a very faint hint of brown head. Hugely complex aroma - sweet, caramel, molasses, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, and so much more. Wow. Awesome bourbon barrel flavor with sweet molasses, brown sugar, coconut, vanilla, oak, a bit of roast and coffee, and more... NICE!

I am not going to get all clinical and serious about this beer.
The fact that it tastes so much like soy sauce can simply not be hidden away by its great colour and aroma.
Sorry but this should be used for cooking and not drinking. Clearly this is just my opinion as it sits at number 20 of the most popular beer list.
