Notes:
This is our 4th Dementia Olde Ale that has been bourbon barrel aged. This ale has an intense sweet caramel malt flavor and aroma that develops into a toffee/toasted marsh mellow like character.

First day of the NBA playoffs so I'm celebrating with my first BB4D ('11 vintage) poured into Hunah' snifter.

A Pours dark brown and deep dark brown/black in the glass. Almost no head on the pour which I expected from the ABV. Nice signs of carbo when I play with it.

S Big time sweetness on the nose. Sweet rum soaked raisins and dark fruits follow burnt sugar and mollasses and caramel. Musty, dank, sweet, and a some booze. Smells fantastic.

T Follows the nose closely. Caramel, mollasses, vanilla, big sweet malts, wood and bourbon. Some smoke and leather hiding in there as well. There's so much going on with this one, I could focus on a few flavors each sip and keep getting something different. Bourbon is really well integrated in this one. really close to a 5.

M Big full feel is accompanied by a very low carbonation which completely suits this beer. Thick and chewy makes this a perfect sipper.

O I'm completely floored by this beer. The nose and taste are top top notch and everything else was great as well. It's great to get a beer that absolutely lives up to the hype. Permanently ISO

Poured from a bottle into my Bruery snifter
it pours with very little head and kind of brown caramel color although
this may have been pour lighting in the room
anyway the smell is definite caramel toffee and very tad slight booze
taste is similar in caramel toffee i get the sweet on the backend possible marshmellow
it is not hott or boozy tasting and at 13.5% all i can say is wow
very smooth and sweet but not overly sweet
all one can say is this is amazing brew and may I have another please
definite up there on the top of my list
