For all you frequent flyers flying out of San Jose, there is a Gordon Biersch located in Terminal A of the airport. Plenty of tables, a long bar, TV's, and some Gordon Biersch memoir provide the decor to this pub. It's a lot better than waiting at the gate of your flight.

6 taps at the bar: four are Gordon Biersch offerings (Hefeweizen, Pilsner, Marzen, one other), the other two are filled by Budweiser and Bud Light (pourquoi?!). Beers are served in a plastic cup, and if you get a Gordon Biersch offering, expect to pay $7.25 plus tax (almost $8 a pint!).

Didn't need much service at the bar as I drank the hefeweizen at 8:30am. Oh, and if you get the hefe, be sure to tell the bartender to hold the lemon, as the Gordon Biersch hefeweizen rivals those in the Bavarian tradtion.

It may be a bar under a chain name, but there are busier airports which don't have a place this good for beer.
