Poured into a tulip glass.
Appearance: Copper bodied brew with an off white head. Good Lacing.
Smell: Lots of big dark fruits. Spiciness from the yeast and sweet malts.
Taste: Raisins, plum, and figs. Brown sugar and caramel malts. Mild alcohol bite.
Mouthfeel: Creamy and smooth. Full bodied beer with moderate carbontion.
Overall: Really goood Quad style beer. Reminds me of Rochefort 10, but kick up a notch. Belgian style ale that is fantastic!

750 ml bottle, corked and caged.
Slightly hazy, tarnished copper to dark orange body. Big, rocky, light beige head. Good lacing. Big tropical fruits (fruit punch, kiwis, pears, and cherries) on the nose. Rummy, with sugary malts and some tangy yeastiness.
Toasted malts and light herbal bitterness up front. Big juicy fruits quickly follow. Sweet pears, strawberries, bananas, and fruit cocktail juice. Slightly scorched caramel and candy sugar. Rummy warmingness. Lingering banana finish with some peppery bitterness. Full-bodied with a syrupy feel. Big, fruity, and a little boozy, but pretty drinkable!

A- A hazy amber orange with some red hues. The white head has pretty good retention. Good color, but a bit different for the style.
S- Does not smell like a quad, or even a Belgian beer for that matter. I get a boat load of cherries and some oak, vanilla, and a hint of alcohol. This is complex, but no where close to what the quad style.
T- Some cherries and caramel with oak and vanilla. The alcohol is barely noticeable and is just a bit warming. Not right for the style, but smooth and enjoyable as hell.
M- Just a bit numbing, but overall it is smooth.
D- A very nice beer, even if it is not a quad. This drinks way better than most 11% ABV beers.

Pours a hazy red/orange color that is very attractive, with a thin white head that leaves big bubbles on the sides.
Smell is all thick hops, lots of caramel malt, a hit of alcohol, and much lighter than you'd expect. The aroma is all cherries, and is absolutely wonderful.
Taste is thick with alcohol, lots of malt, caramel, a little vanilla, and lots of deep fruitiness. Complex, boozy, and awesome.
Mouthfeel is great for the style, boozy, slick and fizzy to keep everything fun.
Drinkability is scary good, the 11% will quickly kick your ass.
Overall, and outstanding quad, and I wish it was more readily available.
