Worth noting that this place does have a good selection of microbrews, since no one has reviewed it lately. The usual selection of sixes in the cooler with local stuff. Some random imports but no emphasis on Belgians.
There is, however, a double wall of warm shelves full of bombers, including a few with previous years' releases. Everything from Stone, Iron Fist, Green Flash, Sierra Nevada, etc. Many from Allagash, Dogfish, Alaskan, Chatoe Rogue, Lagunitas, etc. Also some oddities like four from Angel City, some Canadians, and many others.
I didn't inquire about anything, but without asking the clerk was nice enough to bring me a box to put my bombers in. Pleasant, clean, and roomy place. Location is a dark corner of Clairmont near all the streets named after mountains.

Might as well put a Circle-K or Seven-Eleven sign outside. This place sells mostly domestic macro stuff and hard liquor, with a back wall of refrigerated craft beer that is the same stuff you can buy everywhere else. Nothing rare, nothing special release... this place doesn't deserve the reputation that Keg and Bottle has in the craft community. I guess they're individually owned, and this one is not really one for great craft beer offerings. Nice staff though, but not a great place for finding craft beer. The location is also atypical, being somewhat in a neighborhood not far from the freeway.

Well, I was wondering why this Keg and Bottle was not on BA until tahlstro and I went down there to check it out, and now I am no longer surprised. It's not very good, and their beer selection is minimal. They do have a few interesting things, but they really lack a lot of stock, and whay they do have that interests me is because it's out of season and unsold as it's off the beaten path.
I got a Double Bastard, Stone RIS, and some Bigfoot Barleywine, which is cool, but it's also a bit pricey for all of it. What allured me the most was actually their 6 3.5L bottles of Double Bastard, with one being from 2002, on sale for a mere 100 bucks. I'd almost be interested in it if it weren't put up on a shelf in semi-direct sunlight, and judging from the dust that had collected on many of the bottles, I'd imagine it's been sun-spoiled.
Also, I had a nice chat with someone telling me buying craft beer was a complete waste of my money, as it's too expensive to get drunk with. She proceeded to pull out a case of Mickey's and tell me that this, instead was the route to take. I smiled and respectfully declined, but this looks like the store's average shopper.
So, they have some selection and you might get lucky, but you won't find anything here that a discerning eye would pause on for too long
