Had this on tap Press 195 in Bayside NY

A: Light amber. Creamy quickly dissipating off white head.

S: Small amounts of citrus, and floral hop notes. A little off point and underwhelming for a APA.

T: First notes are apricot, light peach, and candy caramel. Secondary flavors are crystal malt, and a peppery hop bitterness.

M: Light body, medium carbonation. Slightly bitter and watery.

O: This is an off beer for a brewery that ive come to love recently. Its bitterness wasnt backed up or balanced. It could have used more attention into the mouthfeel and malt departments. Wouldnt really have this again, or recommend.

A: Pours a crystal clear deep copper to amber in color with some moderate amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a three finger tall dense foamy off-white head that very slowly reduces to a thick film covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a very thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of sweet caramel and grainy malts along with some lighter amounts of citrus and pine/resin hops. There is a very subtle hint of floral hops as well.

T: The taste is very similar to the smell for this beer with a pretty solid sweet caramel malt body and just a touch of graininess. There is also a decent amount of hop flavors from the citrus and pine/resin hops. Light amounts of bitterness in the finish.

M: On the lighter side of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp.

O: Refreshing - I was drinking this outside around a pool in the middle of a warm summer afternoon. Easy to drink and sessionable. I enjoyed it as did most others at this party - appealing to beer geeks and average joes.

swung by the brewery after a day at the vineyards to sample the local offerings. got about a half if a pint sample. brew was a nice golden color with a crisp earthy vibe. malt dominant but good summer brew. nothing earth shattering but a solid pale sle.

Below is a review I wrote of the draft version:

I had a sixteen ounce draft of this at the Amsterdam Ale House on Manhattan's Upper West Side. i'm still a bit ambivilent about this brewer. I like some of their beers but others I don't like. This one fell short for me. It was just a little uninteresting. I would almost call it a blonde ale rather than a pale.

Color was a deep copper, clear with a good amount of carbonation...perhaps too much.

Aroma was slightly malty and not nearly hoppy enough for an American Pale. Overall not bad, just not present enough.

The flavor was like the aroma. Not enough hop presence and not much of anything else to hole my attention.

This is not a beer I would recommend.

---

The cask was a little better and I think this brewery has improved overall. I'll try the draft version again and amend that review if I feel differently.

A decent summery session ale, pours nearly clear amber, with a slowly settling, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is somewhat sweet and grainy, with a noticeable wheat note and a bit of citrusy hops. Pretty straightforward so far.

Taste follows nose pretty closely. A bit of bitter, orange-citrus hoppiness, cereal grains, wheat, sweet and bready malt, all fairly well balanced without one element overshadowing another. Finishes dry.

Medium-light bodied with crisp carbonation and a clean, refreshing feel overall. Not super interesting or exciting, just a standard flagship-type session beer. In this general category I preferred Greenport’s Summer Ale a bit, but this one ain’t bad.

A - Golden color, clear and with visible carbonation.

S - Hoppy, and a slight floral aroma.

T - Fresh, crisp pale ale. Some bitterness at the end, but a flavorful taste.

M - Refreshing, clean taste, and easily a beer you can have a few of.

O - Not the most exciting style, but the local folks have a beer that a casual beer drinker would enjoy.

Homer alert.

Drinkable American pale ale. What more do you want? Around 30-40 IBU's (my guess), this is a balanced bitter and biscuity pale ale that's well-rounded as much as it is plain. Boring? Maybe. But boring is ok. Think about it. Tuesdays are boring, but Tuesdays can be fucking cool.

Live your life for Friday and Saturday and you miss Tuesday. Tuesday is this beer. Just another day of the week. But.. Drinkable, flavored well, balanced well, breads, hops, even some hop juice, low alcohol, easy drinking, clean finish.

Yup, I'm a homer, but keep me in the harbor so I can drink this one.

Cheers, GHBC, see ya tomorrow.

Light golden color with ample head, with a very clear body. Mild nose consisting of fresh malt / hops. Refreshing taste malt blended with hops and grass. A bit mild with a bitter finish. Moderate mouthfeel, crisp and refreshing, the best quality of this particular beer. A decent drink, don’t search for it but if its put in front of you, try it.

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high dense off white head that gradually died down and left a bit of lacing on the surface and a thin ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: There are moderately strong aromas of floral and citrusy hops and grainy malts in the nose.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell and has a slight amount of bitterness towards the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The beer is easy to drink and has some refreshing properties.

I tried this pale ale on tap, served in a standard American pint glass, at a New York City watering hole.

Appearance was clean and crisp. Light amber color, fairly clear, with a good head.

Smell was not very strong, but clean and fresh.

Taste was quite good. Nice balance of malt and hops. Perhaps bit on the watery side for some. A neutral to slightly bitter finish.

Mouthfeel was also good -- substantial, but thirst-quenching

The brew was very drinkable. No reason not to just keep on enjoying this very creditable pale ale.

Had on tap at the Catch in Port Jefferson, NY.

Look: clear copper with a white head that doesn't last for very long but some lacing.

Smell: very subdued. There's not much here except some quiet malt and a little floral hop character.

Taste: nothing really jumps out with this except some flowery hop tastes. Its nicely balanced out by some maltiness.

Feel: light in body.

Drink: I think the brewer intended for this one to be liked by a broad audience and I think this is reflected in the drinkability. Very easy to drink.

Overall, its ok. I think this beer was intended for a broad audience so I think that's why its lacking some qualities that BAs seem to look for. Regardless, very easy drinking and enjoyable beer even if its not exceptional.

The ABV for this beer is 5.3% according to the brewer. The beer's low point is its aroma. There is a slightly grassy nose, but nothing at all assertive. Luckily the taste is better. The beer pours a fairly golden color, clear, a bit of carbonation. There is a smallish head. The beer uses pale, wheat, and Vienna malts with Amarillo hops. The taste is pretty average, nothing that I would seek out. There is a slightly leafy bittering bite in the finish and a rather so-so malt mid section to this beer. It really isn't their best, but it's inoffensive enough.
