Uisce (pronounced ishKA) is our local "Irish" bar. The various wall decorations and such are all Irish themed. The room is very tall and somewhat narrow. As you enter through the front door there are tables to your right and a couple steps farther on the left as well. A few more strides brings you to the long wooden bar.
As you sit at the bar there is a gas fireplace and some low tables behind you. In front of you is a nice selection of spirits, focusing on Irish and Scotch whiskey's. There are 20 taps, but they are repeated on each end of the bar so there are only 10 choices at a given time. On a recent visit the draft highlight was the IPA from local favorite North Fork. Other brews included Stella, Guinness, Smithwicks, Elysian Immortal IPA ( the regular version, not the dry-hopped version, which can be found elsewhere in town) and a few others. Pints are currently $5 across the board.
There is one TV with the sound down, and quite often a soccer game on. There are 2 steel tip dart boards. The service is generally fast and friendly, but if they get really busy the wait times go up. If you have a crush on a certain server or bartender in the 'Ham, Uisce on a Sunday night might be your best chance to talk to them, as quite a few industry staff come in to unwind.
Overall, this is a pleasant enough bar. Worth a visit if you're in town.
