Suitably pale , suitably cloudy with a frequent small bubble. The head as white , laces well and persists.
A sweet citrus aroma , perhaps of orange albeit faint.
I get a hint of cardoman blended with some coriander seed , but again all of this is pretty mild. It is close to having a memorable taste but doesnt quite punch hard enough
The mouthfel is pretty sharp (good0 as the first sensation then just smooths down like a wave carved in marble
This is a warm weather ,drinking beer for me , but jeez it would be quaffable after a game of golf on a hot day

White Rabbit White Ale is a fairly flavourless witbier.

A: Cloudy pale yellow colour and and a 5 mm head that dies hard and fast. 3

S: Spicy with a hint of pears and some yeast. 4

T: Sharp clove and citric flavour with noticeable hard-water salts. I don't love it. 3

M: Foamy with reasonably-large bubbles. 4

O: 3

A - 3 fingers of perfectly clean white meringue-like head. Pale and clear in the body.

S - Fresh spongecake, vanilla.

T - Follows the nose, lacks the spice and coriander that you want in a wit. Lemon and lime resonate.

M - Watery, thin. Moderate carbonation.

O - Attractive to the eye, but too light on the palate, and just come up short in most areas.

Not much happening here. Clean and dry but not particularly flavoursome. Faint traces of lemon both in aroma and palate, and some bitterness / aniseed in the latter. But, ultimately just doesn’t offer much at all, like most local examples of the genre.

A: Pours a bit cloudy pale yellow beer. A bit of carbonation and head is 1 finger but disappears quickly.

S: Smell of lemon, a wee bit of honey. No smell present of hops. Light smell of yeast.

T: Full taste of carbo in the beginning, bubbly. Surprisingly weak taste, not what I expected. Light beer with a faint taste of citrus and honey.

M: Mouthfeel is pretty sharp, lots of carbo but then softens.

Overall: Read a good article about this beer in a food magazine in Melbourne but it’s not quite what they wrote about it. Taste is weaker then expected. It’s a nice beer to drink in the summer but it ain’t material for beertastings.

An interesting one - will it hang together like it's much hyped twin the Dark Ale?

Not always as keen on Witbiers, either, lets see...

Pours a weak straw colour, moderately cloudy, bubbles away. Two finger head that recedes, then leaves lacing.

Aromas of lemon zest, maybe a little honey in there - no malts or hops.

Hm, taste is ok, but just. it doesn't really hang together that well, un-integrated, and seems a bit sharp, not helped by the carbonation that goes on 'n' on.

Won't be buying another 6-er of these.

Appearance: Cloudy Yellow with a foamy head

Aroma: A very light aroma of honey and yeast.

Taste: Light again, with orange and citrus notes and a hint of honey on the finish

Mouthfeel: Very dry on the mouth, almost thin. Very tight carbonation.

Drinkability: It's okay.. Very refreshing for sure but my personal taste is for something with more body and flavour.

Imagine ginger ale without the ginger; a sweet, bubbly soda-pop. Honey is about all I taste, making me think that this would be a great beer to offer your friend's wife who hates beer.

Think Bud-Lite Lime, but replace the lime with honey. A good summer beer for non-beer drinkers or for drinkers who are just too thirsty to give a shit about what they are drinking.

Pours nicely - crisp looking yellow colour, slightly cloudy, bright, fresh looking. Nice looking beer. Faint smell of lemon, spices and phenols. Phenolic mouthfeel, slight spice. Fairly thin. Slightly "mass market" harsh in the bitter finish, which is contributed to by some phenolics.

Never been a fan of beers with honey and spices added. reminds me of a bees nees.

Drank from my Weihenstephaner Weizen Glass

A - Pours a hazey lemon straw colour with a white head that is tight and reatians well.

S - Aromas of grain and malts.

T - Not much other than citrus and some wheat. Quite refreshing.

M - Light body and medium carbonation.

D - Will quench a thirst but not my cup of tea.

Pours a very pale straw colour, very light haze but otherwise clear. Hypnotic flow of bubbles up the glass towards a head that was overblown when first poured, but sinking quite steadily and unevenly. Leaves a few clumps of snowy lace around. Would like more haze, less head, but otherwise decent.

Nose is intriguingly fruity. Quite tart it seems at first, but there's a fair amount of juicy aroma to it. I'm getting apple, pear, and some white grape notes coupled with the more predictable candied orange aroma. Still a touch of tartness makes it seem refreshing, and an underlying whiff of smooth honey adds sweetness. Pretty nice.

Taste is a bit simple for the most part. Starts out sweet, with a slight grainy note and that underlying honey sweetness again. Doesn't evolve much towards the mid-palate, although maybe a touch or two of that apple/pear fruity flavour but not a lot. Finish is where it 'all' happens, with slight spicy piquancy, a hint of white peppercorn and some coriander around the edge, a slight woody taste to boot. Leans very slightly too much towards savoury on the back, leading this a bit off the drinkable path. The honey undertone carries through but is too subtle to affect the finishing balance.

Mouthfeel has a great texture though. Surprisingly full body for the ABV, and a gentle bubbly texture with slight prickly finish. Suits the piquant finish and sweet start both very well.

Not a terrible beer by any stretch of the imagination, but it's uninspiringly mild.

Appearance - 4.5
A vigorous pour yields two fingers of creamy white head over a cloudy body the same colour as lemon barley cordial. Good lacing and head retention.

Smell - 3.0
Rather soapy to be quite honest. Lemon and citrus peel, a little sweetness, just the merest suggestion of spice and honey and the aforementioned soap.

Taste - 3.5
Thankfully doesn't taste as soapy as it smells (though still a little). Less spicy that most wits, though more citric - the palate is dominated with lemon and orange rind, a little honey, no hop character, it's more tart than bitter. Very refreshing.

Mouthfeel - 3.5
Light bodied, moderate to lively carbonation, feels a little coarse over the tongue.

Drinkability - 3.5
Not a beer I would choose for session drinking, but certainly something I would drink again.

OVERALL - 3.6
A worthy second beer from White Rabbit, and a good, if not quite traditional witbier.

A: Cloudy pale amber with very little carbonation. A thin white head, most of which disappears quickly, but a thin layer which persists until the drink's almost gone.

S: Mild fruity esters with vanilla tones.

T: An underwhelming taste - a cross between a vanilla milkshake and watered-down orange juice with malt highlights.

M: Full creamy body. Very easy to swallow. Fizziness is just about right - not too heavy, not too light.

D: Ideal for casual drinkers who don't like strong hoppy bitterness and are able to ignore the cloudiness. It might be a little too easy drinking and light on the palate for more experienced beer drinkers though.

Poured with a swirl half-way, Hoegaarden style -- still, the yeast cake seems resolutely stuck to the bottom of the bottle. Fortunately, it's still a cloudy pleasant body; very pale straw yellow coloured, just deepening to a hint of orange in the thicker portion of the glass. Head is a magnificent frothy meringe of white. Lacing is sudsy. Looks every bit the good witbier.

Nose is sweet, citric and candy like. Big hints of orange rind and lemon sherbet, with a little acidity which renders it a little like oaked chardonnay. Not a huge nose, and it lacks the spicy and herbal coriander notes of the best examples, but it's not bad.

Taste is muted, but still it has that pleasant sweet citrus character throughout. Extremely clear and clean and fresh, giving everything up for a smooth, drinkable palate. True, it's missing some big, cranky and fragrant characters of the best wits, but it sure puts together something clean and refreshing.

I think this beer captures the philosophy of a wit rather well, if not its full spectrum. The style is meant to be refreshing, drinkable, slightly acidic and extremely clean. This does a good job there. If it lacks a little something I think it can be forgiven. I prefer my wits to err on the side of refreshing drinkability than on the side of robust experimentation.

This is a very pleasant beer, well made and with purpose. I can definitely see it becoming part of my regular rotation.

Cloudy straw colour with a small, fluffy white head. Decent head retention.

Light yeasty aroma with a note of honey. Hints of spice. Fair.

Dull malt palate with a light spicy and herbal note. A hint of honey comes through as well. This could be a perfectly respectable summer beer but it does lack a bit of flavour.

Medium-light body with moderately-high carbonation. Too gassy.

A fair attempt at a witbier from White Rabbit but their Dark Ale is much, much better.

This brew pours a cloudy, dirty pale, pale yellow hue with decent carbonation that leaves a behind a frothy two finger head and nice sporadic lacing, the smell is a mix of aromas of apricot, honey and yeasty bread,it has a nice above average sessionable mouthfeel which is lively carbonatoned and i find the taste is pretty much like the smell with apricot, honey, yeasty bread and also some citrus notes on the palette aswell, overall its a nice drop that is no worldbeater but is very sessionable.

Looks great. Very witbier pale golden wth a beautiful marshmallow head and consistent lacing. The nose is some what muted. The honey is there but it actually reminds me of an aged semillon, almost lanolin like mellowness. The palate is decidedly lacking. Nice creamy texture but just lacking in real up front flavour. Hop presence is minimal and bitterness low as expected. This beer doesn't directly purport to be a witbier anywhere on the label but the look would suggest that it was the inspiration. Honey is the main feature here rather than coriander and orange - don't know if they were even used in the brew, I can't detect either. Despite being as fresh as can be it just feels a little old and tired - lacklustre.
