500ml bottle (bottled 02/23/12...so about 3 weeks old) poured into a Duvel tulip.

A - Pours a somewhat strange dirty amber color with a grayish and almost olive green tint to it (never seen anything like this color before in a beer), dirty, a bit muddy and yeasty. Four huge fingers of bright white foam form on top and linger for many minutes. This is a multiple stage pour beer to relieve the bottle of its contents and fill the glass. When the head does finally fall, tons and tons of sticky lace coat the entire glass.

S - Lots of hops on the nose, piney, herbal and especially grassy with some citrus as well. Really don't get much else out of the aroma. Hops overpower any malt contributions in this beer. Simple and straight forward, but good smelling beer.

T - Same green, herbal, piney and grassy hop flavors as was indicated by the aroma. Medium bitterness from the hops, but flavor is strong. Light malty presence, biscuity malt flavors with touches of sugary sweetness. Hops are the stars of the show however.

M - Medium bodied with a tingly mid-level carbonation. Grassy and herbal hops and medium bitterness.

O - Very good American pale ale. Nice and hoppy overall - full of hop flavor with a smooth bitterness. Fresh and crisp flavors - nothing overpowering...a hop lovers pale ale. Another winner from Maine Beer.
