Notes:
Our first run at an American Pale Ale. Flavors and aromas of zesty citrus, passionfruit, and pine present themselves throughout. A very subtle malt sweetness for balance, but this is intended to finish dry.

500 mL poured in to a pint glass
A: This beer pours with a hazy golden body, and a one finger of sudsy white head. Head recedes quickly leaving spider webbed lacing on the glass.
S: Nose is mango and pineapple fruitiness, mingled with a burst of piney, earthy hops, and a hint of biscuit.
T: Taste is big piney, earthy notes punctuate the forefront of this beer. These big pine notes hang around for a while, mingling in to a nice light caramel malt sweetness in the middle. Finish is a massive dose of grapefruit mingled with lighter mango and tangerine flavoring.
M: Medium body, medium to higher carbonation, dry finish with a prickling of carbonation at the end.
O: Goes does easy, very tasty, not too filling, mild kick, nice representation of style. Perhaps a bit hoppier than typical APA's, though works really well for this beer.

Recently acquired in a BIF from Cuzco. 500ml bottle served in a Hill Farmstead win glass. Bottled 4/16/13.
A: Pours a semi hazy golden yellow color with some orange highlights. A thick and bubbly head forms on the pour. The retention is off the charts (similar to my bottle lunch). It creates a crater filled pillow of head and thick, sticky lace. Just a beautiful looking beer.
S: Sweet cracker malts mixed with some stone fruit and sweet grass. Lightly floral as well.
T: Lightly lemony with some grassy undertones. Some stone fruit with some white bread malts. Nicely sweetened on the finished with a very mild bitterness that just lingers around.
M: Bubbly and light. The drinkability is off the charts. Lightly bodied with a medium-high carbonation level. Slightly swet finish.
O: A wonderfully light and flavorful pale ale that has exceptional drinkability. I wish I had access to this as I would work it into my summer rotation of Daisy Cutter and Zombie Dust.
