Pours a nice coppery brown color, with a nice bit of head. Decent scent, very sweet and malty, with some huge pepper aroma; has some slight caramal in the nose. Nice taste, a decent maltiness with a bit of toffee/caramal in the flavor; nice earthy hop characteristics, and a huge pepper (nearly sinus clearing) flavor. The pepper can be a bit much if you don't care for that type of thing, but I very much enjoyed it. Very interesting and a nice choice for Macniven's first hand pull beer!
