Served - can poured into Pint Glass

Appearance
Rich brown color with minimal head. Copper color.

Smell
Roasted almonds with hazelnut hint.

Taste
Very rich and malty taste. Can taste the nuts (hazelnut) and hops. Mixed taste between the brown ale and an IPA.

Mouthfeel
Very drinkable. Tastes great and smooth in the mouth. Complex and rich taste throughout the entire process

Overall
A pretty great Brown that also tastes like an APA/IPA. Love the malts and the rich hops as it enters your mouth. The hazelnut smell tops it off.

A: This was the best part about this beer, looking at it. I poured a nice ruby brown with small tan head. Clear.
S: It had a decent smell to it. It's not too roasty or peaty which was nice but it smelled very small, if that makes sense.
T: It was very smooth but was not what I was expecting. It is not very rich with little caramel hazelnut notes like I was prepared for. Very light for a Scottish style ale.
M: Smooth moderately creamy but the carbonation was good. I don't want to say it's watery but it was not very full, like not at all.
O: It's a solid session beer. They hit the mark dead on when they want to produce "craft" beer for non-craft beer drinkers. I would use this to convert people from domestics.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a snifter.

Color is brown with a lot of ruby hues. About two fingers thick tan colored head that recedes slowly. Little lacing on the sides. Some bubbles. A few fine suspensions. Translucent.

Aroma is of scotch and caramel malts. Toasted malts. Strong malt flavor. No alcohol. Some warmth that is not boozy. No hops. Strength is good.

Flavor is full of toasted caramel malts. Very much like a scotch ale. Finish is dry with slight sweetness.

Mouth feel is medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Easy to drink. Slightly more malty and caramel flavor.

Very good Scottish style ale.
