Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours medium coppery amber with a half finger slightly off-white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, grapefruit, citrus hops and light sweet malt. Flavor of pine and citrus hops, light stone fruit and sweet malt. Finishes with citrus and lightly herbal hops. Very nice medium, moderately creamy body. A very pleasant West Coast IPA and the second enjoyable beer I've had from this local brewery (I really liked their IIPA even better.

16oz CAN, great dane imperial pint
Read some nice things about this and reluctantly purchased a single - I really thought the DIPA (Ballz Deep) was more offensive as a beer than a name. Pretty cool can - really beautiful IPA too - glowing orange, sticky creamy lace. Smells of nice fresh citrus and pineapple - tastes mighty fine too, light and fresh without a bitterness overload. Bright tropical flavors - good stuff.

Thanks to pwnzilla, who is quickly climbing the good trader charts on the maximum12 exchange, for a growler of this beer. 64 oz. growler split with Yulles on a school night. What was I thinking?
Pour is a lovely clear IPA gold, right down to the last couple ounces of the growler. The smell, oh, the smell. One of those IPAs that you just want to clutch & sniff. Tons of citrus & pine & bitterness coming off the surface.
Rude Parrot brings a good game to the table tennis match. Just like the nose, lovely citrus suffuses the taste buds, along with gentle floral notes & a modicum of bitter slappiness. Not at all balanced - thank you. Thirty-two ounces went down in a ridiculously easy manner, sliding away with a pleasant after effect.
Another West Coast winner. Smells & drinkability are the highlights here, & this is a clear winner. Excellent beer.

A: Poured a nice, lightly hazed orange color with a nice white cap that dissipates leaving a som light lacing
S: Citrus and pine needles dominate
T: Immediate pine needles and plenty of citrus in the mix. There is a nice bittering which starts about mid taste and finishes bitter, sordove slick.
M: Medium bodied, penty of taste, a little sweet
O: Good, better than I recall from two years ago.

On tap at the brewery taproom today.
The beer pours an orange amber color with good head retention and lacing. The beer looks nice enough, but then I stuck my beak in my sampler glass. Mama mia!!! I pick up an outrageous nose of dank earth, skunky marijuana, pine and dry citrus. In a 5.8% abv. IPA, the nose on this bad boy is flat out amazing. Not surprisingly, the flavor profile doesn't match up with the nose, though it's not bad. There isn't nearly as much pine or dank earth, but otherwise the beer delivers plenthy of hoppy goodness in a dry, slightly lean, West Coast IPA style. There's a kiss of sweet malt as well, which IMHO is just enough to carry the amount of bitterness this beer delivers, giving it something of a citrusy finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied at most, with a long, bitter, lightly pine infused finish.
This is a very well crafted IPA from this "new to me" brewery. Impressive.

There is nothing rude about this IPA. The beer pours a golden brown and smells like summer citrus. This IPA starts off crisp and slightly sweet on the palate, but the citrusy bitter hops catch up on the back end. This is a warm weather IPA that is made for a session in the sun since it doesn't have a particularly high alcohol content. Grab some if you have a chance, because you won't regret it.
