I stopped in and wound up talking to the guy behind the counter (who I believe is the owner) for 20 minutes about homebrewing and different types of beer. I walked out of the store with a bunch of great beers and a much better grasp of how to start homebrewing. The beer selection is first rate (Allagash, Brooklyn, DFH, Ommegang, Pennichuck, Rogue, St. Ambroise, Samuel Smith, Sierra Nevada, Stone, Unibroue, Victory, etc). I was surprised to see 4 or 5 different releases of the Smuttynose Big Beer Series (I wound up buying the Imperial Stout, Wheat Wine, and Big A IPA). Prices were very reasonable and all of the beers could be broken into singles, which is a major plus. The store is really small and cluttered... I can't imagine how more than 4 people shop in there at the same time.

Located off of Main St in downtown Nashua; rather convenient despite less than ideal parking amid a ton of one way streets. The only real knock to the atmosphere at Jasper's is its size. Walking through the 4 aisles is a bit cramped especially if there are more than 3 or 4 other customers present.
Quality in terms of both home brew ingredients, materials, and equipment and craft brew is quite impressive. The craft beer selection is primarily single bottles, but some four and six packs are present as well. Offerings are impressive in both quality and selection. Some specific offerings include the full line of Smutty big beers, DFH, Rogue, White Birch, Allagash, and a large selection of Belgians (Scaldis, Corsendonk, Affligem, Chimay, and many, many more).
One of the real positives about Jasper's is their service. Staff is attentive, down to earth, and available. One nice bonus is their recipe collection which makes everything from deciding on a style to grabbing all of the ingredients rather fun and unbelievably convenient.
Definitely the best home brew shop that I have yet to visit.

This is my go-to place for HB supplies. It's a small store and a bit cramped, but it's amazing how much stuff they cram in there.
As a new homebrewer they've been more than willing to answer my various questions about both their products and general brewing techniques. The guys that work there are super friendly - and really know their stuff.
Their prices are about as low as I've seen in a B&M store, and when you factor in shipping costs these guys tend to be a lot cheaper on most supplies than online retailers. It's a bit of a hike for me to get there, but it's absolutely worth it.
They also have a surprisingly decent selection of craft brews for such a small shop. I've found a few instances of them stocking items that the other local bottle shops either don't seem to have access to or run out of.

Jasper's is a hole in the wall from the outside, but stuffed with great beer and brewing supplies. The owner, Jeff, will talk with you at length about whatever beer-related topic you are there to pursue. We probably talked for 20 min during my most recent visit, I had to run because I had only paid the meter for 15 min!
I was looking for some of the newer hop varieties. One he had not heard of, one he had well stocked for the same exact price as the online vendors. I also picked up some supplemental brewing supplies for very reasonable prices.
He has a very good stock of bottles, most everything that one can expect to find distributed in NH. In particular, his stock of NH breweries seems exceptionally good.
Parking can be an issue, it's on street on downtown Nashua, but it's not a far walk at all from the municipal lots behind the downtown frontages. Also, just a block for Martha's, if your visit made you thirsty.
Highly recommend a stop in at Jasper's, it's the kind of place we need more of.

This hidden treasure is one place that for any one who loves beer and is in the neighborhood should definitely check out. If you are a home brewer and need advice or supplies you are in good hands at Jaspers. The owner Jeff is always helpful and willing to share his beer knowledge. The store is very small and feels like a friendly corner store. It can get busy on weekends so weekday visits can help assure helpful advice and one on one attention.
I'm lucky to live nearby and work even closer. I try to make a stop here as often as I can whether it's to pick up brew supplies or just some of the many craft beer selections.

I try to get up to Jasper's at least once a month to talk beer and home brewing with the owner and to pick up one of their excellent store recipes. Their in-house dubbel recipe is one of the best beers I've made. I am somewhat biased to this store since they are the ones that helped me fall in love home brewing and craft beer.
They are located in downtown Nashua center. While their store front is somewhat small, they have an excellent selection of craft beer, home brewing equipment and ingredients, as well as wine equipment and ingredients. If you don't see what you are looking for, be sure to ask and they WILL get it for you.

I stopped in to Jasper's for the second time today, for assistance with my very first foray into home brewing. Jeff, the owner, is so supremely knowledgable and helpful it is so great to have him for a resource. I'm a Nashua resident so I feel spoiled to have such a great store so close. Jeff helped me formulate my first home brew (IPA w kit). I look forward to going back for all the ingredients and help I will need on my next batch (next time w/o a kit). I would recommend Jasper's for any one in Eastern New England or Southern NH looking to do home brewing or just looking for a great selection of craft beers.

Jasper's Home Brew was the first place I went when I started homebrewing (thanks BA). It was a good environment for a novice, and I hope to get back there some day.
The vibe is nice. The store itself is quite tiny, but it feels cramped in a charming way. The selection of brewing gadgets and brewing ingredients is very good. If you can't find something in this store, you probably don't need it. In addition to the brewing supplies, Jasper's has a nice selection of beers. I recall the owner telling me that it was his goal to stock every craft beer available in NH (although that may not be true anymore).
One really great thing about this store is the file of recipes. You can browse through all of the styles at your leisure, and the ones my friend and I used were quite tasty. The Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone, for example, is simply fantastic.
The store owner is a friendly and helpful guy. Unfortunately, mostly due to the size of the store, you can't simply walk into the store and dive into a group discussion about brewing. But if you need something, you will get help.

This place is pretty convenient for the home brewer / beer enthusiast. they have a good selection of all the home brewing supplies that you will need, to get started, or to upgrade. they are very knowledgeable of the home brewing process and are more than willing to talk and give advice. they also have a small but high quality selection of craft brews from the US and abroad. the prices here are also very reasonable. They carry quite a few of the white birch beers, and These beers are usually harder to find at bottle shops. if you are in the are stop by and check it out.

Jaspers is a great little hole in the wall in the beginning of downtown Nashua. The owner (I believe) is full of information. I mean real full of everything about beer. They have a recipe file that you can pick a beer and assemble all of the ingrediants yourself. It's really cool people working there are very helpful and friendly and will talk about styles and ferm temps and anything beer related pretty much. Great selection of craft beer too. Feels great walking out of there every time. Great prices on malts, grains, hops, you name it.
