I went here randomly when I was hanging out with my cousin in Oregon Hill. It didn't look very inviting at first, but when I saw their beer selection my jaw dropped. I was thinking, this is Oregon Hill... What is this stuff doing here? For all of you that don't live in Richmond, it's a little run down, not a place you would typically expect to go and find a ridiculously commendable amount of beer. The entire wall to the left as soon as you walk in, all premium, craft/micro-brewed (at least the vast majority are), refrigerated beer (Unlike Total Wine) if you like your beer nice and cold. I've found anything from Founder's brews, Bear Company, Stone, and some Flying Dog. To top it all off, even the fabled Double Bastard can be found there. (Which in my area is ridiculously hard to find, even local Total Wines refuse to order it). If you choose to buy cheaper beer, they have that too in the back... Which they also have a vast selection of. Also If they run out of a certain brand of beer, they quickly replace it with the same brand, or another one.
Even some of the clerks share a beer-lovers knowledge about beer, and they're pretty nice to top it off. The only downside is prices. If a beer is an awesome beer, typically it's going to be pretty pricey, sometimes more so than at other places (i.e. Total Wine), but some great beer they have a little cheaper than you'd expect which kind of evens it out. Overall, the place is like water in a desert, and personally, I would be willing to put up with the prices for the time being, instead of driving the distance to the local Total Wine.
