Well-balanced, smooth and bold. A special blend of pale malts give this beer its distinct color.

A brownish red body with a very thin, foamy head. The aroma had an almost smoky smell, which didn't reflect the taste at all.
The taste was more vibrant malt flavour, rather than the darker, spicy/smoke flavour that you would expect from the smell. It was full-bodied and rich and finished with a really nice mouthfeel.
Overall its a good malty sweet beer that has a hint of smoky smell and finishes smooth, with mild carbonation.

I tried this beer on April 22, 2010 at "The 3 Brewers" brewpub in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was a translucent dark cherry red with a very thin white head that hung around on the surface. The aroma was sweet malt, wheat, caramel and hops. The mouthfeel was full-bodied with medium carbonation, The flavour was sweet malt, some wheat malt, and a bitter finish. There was definitely some hefe/witbier characteristics

Clear red/amber with a hint of smoke and caramel aroma. Flavour is light roastiness and some dark fruit and raisins. Hints of tobacco and cocoa as well. Flavour balance seems a bit off though. Moderate heft in the body and a slight slickness, and touch of astringency. Just an OK brew that seems a bit rough to me.

This beer appears a medium golden orange-brown colour, with two fingers of creamy ecru head, which leaves a rinse of soapy lace around the glass. It smells of caramel malt, and...yeast? The taste is more caramel malt, cloves, and well, yeast. WTF? The carbonation is mild, the body medium weight and decently smooth, and it finishes on a drying note, with some more fruity yeastiness.
So, the obvious question had to be asked - did they mix up their lines, get some wheat ale into this purported red ale? No, apparently, that's how it's supposed to taste. Uh huh.

Appearance- a great red and copper color, slight white head, but the color is a very beautiful red and amber color,
Smell- very weak in this department, slight malt smell but its very weak on the nose, was expecting more from the nice look,
Taste- slightly bitter hops try to balance out what is mostly a malty sweet beer, nothing to overwhelming here but not offense a little light,
Mouthfeel- smooth and creamy feel going down
Drinkability- This beer was okay but certainly nothing amazing and with the fine beer choices offered here not one I would would be sessioning considering better offerings, clearly the weakest of there line, average is the word for this one

Served way too cold in first week of brewpub's operation. Neutral aroma too slightly malty. Orange/amberish , with lots of lace. creamy body, appropriate carbonation, this is a malt job, very dull with less than average mouthfeel. Not too drinkable.
