great selections, beer tasting events every Thurs and Fri from 5 to 7 open to 11:00 pm Fri & Sat. nites, very informative people, great service, new store that was needed in the northeast, no more traveling, no store like this one with 22 glass doors of beers, mix and match if you like! they give you a six pack for your individual selections, open Sunday to from 11:00 to 8:00 pm. tables and chairs to watch sport events, while tasting a different beer, store is well lighted and very clean in a new shopping center with lots of parking spaces, Shop Rite is the lead store

Since the craft beer outlet open this has been my go to six pack store ...because the owners and staff take a lot of pride in the beers they sell ,they feature a fantastic selection of beers from ,Alesmith, cascade, lost abbey, port brewing ,ballast point, dark horse ,and all the local favorites ,such as pbc, yards, victory, sly fox ,they have well over 750 types of beer available plus they offer a six tap system for growler fills and on site consumption ,and if you don't see a beer you just ask Mark and he will get it in for you .
Hands down my favorite bottle shop.

This place is great. Not only is it a "Mix-and-Match" place in PA, they also have draft beers for filling growlers or to enjoy a pint while there.
The folks are very courteous, generous with their time, and treat the customer well. Some of the staff is more knowledgeable than others. I say that as disclaimer before suggesting this place to folks newly interested in craft beer or trying to make a selection for others with different tastes because there are folks here who really know their beer.
It's a comfortable setting, though a bit pricey. I really suggest stopping by here, even if it's a little out of your way. You won't regret it.

Stopped in this place at the advice of a couple of BAs looking for some Russian River sours during a recent trip to Philly.
Atmosphere is great. The Craft Beer Outlet is actually located in a shopping mall in what looks to be a quite, upscale neighborhood. The store is very well structured. Long and narrow with a growler station in the front and a couple of chairs and tables for customers at the back. Super clean also.
Best quality that I've seen in a long while. They actually have the same beer in a number of places... displayed on shelves, in refridgerators, and in the back. So whether you want to take it home, drink it there, what have you, they have beer at the perfect temperature for you. Everything was also fresh from what I could tell.
Service was really good. The kid at the counter greeted us and immediately helped my girlfriend and I find what we were looking for. We also got a chance to chat it up for a little while and I got the impression that the staff really knew what they were talking about.
I called a number of places before going to Philly and this was the only one out of 5 or 6 that had Supplication and Sanctification in stock. They also had a number of Red Poppy's... something else that I didn't expect to find on the shelves. A really well-stocked selection overall.
Prices here were comparatively cheap also. Supplication for $18 and Sanctification for $15. Their growler fills were also very reasonably priced.
Creaft Beer Outlet is a bona fide hidden gem. A beer store that's located in a bit of an out-of-the-way location, but most definitely worth the drive for a visit!
A HUGE thanks to all those who recommended this place!

Great "craft your pack" resource if your in the Philly area. Staff is GREAT...I'm a monthly repeat customer and they know me by name and are always interested in more than making the sale. Selection is always the best of the tri-state area IMHO. Great stop if you like seasonal craft brews; my favorite is September-December (pumpkins, Oktoberfest, holiday brews). A little pricy, but I blame that on PA sales tax and the FF'ed -Up PA liquor laws! If your in the area, pull out an extra $20 and support the local PA beer guy, who's willing to go though the trouble to break 6-packs and provide a WORLD-CLASS craft beer MECCA!!!!

I am updating my review of this place because I have been here many times now and have been more and more impressed.
The store is nice, clean and bright, and the location is conveniently in a strip mall with plenty of parking. They have quite a few doors, broken down into local, US craft and then by country, as well as some macros of course. They also have a large amount of room temp bottles on the shelves, something that I like for beers I plan to put down. Not quite the selection of some of the places closer to center city, but still grade A and at lower prices.
They also do a good job of getting plenty of seasonal brews and often have sales on stuff that they need to move. This is good not only for getting a deal, but helps cut down on old stock.
The staff is very helpful and most of them seem to know a good amount about the product. I have e-mailed the owner a couple times and he often get's back to me within hours.
They have six taps for filling growlers and usually have a decent mix of choices.
Overall a great place and I cannot recommend highly enough.

I was in NJ visiting family and saw the reviews on this place so decided to try it. We drove through traffic for an hour and a half and by the end of the drive was doubting that that drive would be worth this unknown beer shop. When we got there i walked through the door and spotted a Brooklyn Black ops and that was it for me it was worth that drive, i ended up spending $150 got that black ops, Russian River, Lost Abbey, and some Firestone Walker. I was looking for some Nugget Nectar but they didn't have any, I asked and they told me they had just gotten some in their Case shop so i went over and grabbed one! They also have a surprisingly good Gluten Free Beer selection. Needless to say this place is a little oasis for beer lovers. I will definitely come back here when I'm in the area.

I stopped in here looking for some Black Magick a month or so ago. This place is pretty damn awesome. Brightly lit and very clean. Refrigerator cases the length of the store. A huge selection of bottles, six packs, 4 packs etc for take out. You can even score a few glasses but their selection was pretty limited, I was surprised to find any as most places don't have glasses. They have all the normal crafts but they also have hard to find stuff that I usually don't see around. They have a growler filling station and you can even sit down and have a pint at the tables in the back of the store. The customer service was pretty good. However, I did call ahead and ask if they could save a six pack for me but when I got there no one had put it aside. No big deal as I was able to get it off the shelf. All in all this place is great and I wish I lived closer but it was still worth the 45 minute drive. Check it out!

I went through Philly during Thanksgiving and made a pit stop here. I did some research and picked this spot based on its proximity to I-95 and the fact they carry Russian River.
It's in a plaza and has a generic looking sign. It was a little smaller than I expected, but the quality of what they stock is second to none.
I walked out with some AleSmith, BCBS, several varieties of RR and DFH World Wide Stout. None of which you can get in NC.
The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions. The prices were a little steep, but understandably so since they are in the city and carry a wide variety of rare beers.
If you are driving through, you should definitely stop and check it out. It's the only store I have been to in Philly, so I don't know how they compare to other local shops. Philly has to be the best place to buy beer east of Chicago. Vermont is a close second, but solely based on local beer.

Damn didn't even now this was on here. I guess that's what you get when you look for this place on RT13.I seen a big sign saying Craft beer. So naturally I pull in.
As soon as I walked in I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. I said no thankyou just going to browse. A small little place but is packed to the gills with goodies. A line of fridges to your left and the checkout is to your right and everywhere else are bottles on shelves. There is a barrel with a bunch of six pack holders. The man told me just take whatever bottles you need and use the holders.I ended up getting a couple goodies. Abt 12,Koningshoeven Quad, a couple of Unibroue's and that was about it. I asked if they had Hopslam and he said I asked for five cases and they gave me one and they sold out within the hour.
I think this could be my first exceptional rating in every category but this place is great. A great place to buy singles.
I just walked in and noticed that they now sell pints. I had a pint of Ten Fidy and was on my way. This just further adds to this great place.
