440ml can purchased from Berkeley Bowl West in Berkeley, CA. I'm a sucker for a nitrogenated can, I know it. This one opens with the best of them, a huge sucking intake of noisy expansion, promising creamy glory below.

Looks the business. Smooth, creamy pour starts the beer of a sandy yellow hue, settling out to a rich copper with a very fine, creamy whipped meringue consistency head. Lacing is pointy and fine, sticking around for a long time. Body is light, and the bubbling is fine when tilted. Yeah, I love the look of this kind of beer, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Nose is mild and relatively smooth, with a light but pleasant creamy malt character backed up by a faint suggestion of earthy English hops. It's all very mild, but in a way that suggests intention and purpose. It's quite pleasant.

Taste is similarly mild, but again well-balanced and well thought out. Smoothness runs through the centre and the front of the palate, not so much giving much in the way of flavour, but laying down a weak malt basis. This is follows and punctuated by a dusky but clear hop character which provides a single counterpoint above and towards the back of the palate. Feel is smooth but light, and far from bloating.

This is a mild beer, but it's a pleasant one, with structure and with interest. It's also extremely accessible and very pleasant to drink. Yes, it's not going to wow you with flavour, but for what is presumably a pretty mass-produced English ale, there's a lot to like.

Clear bright copper (SRM 15) after the cascading head settles to one inch creamy beige. Fine carbonation and lace coat the Harp nonic glass while the head maintains itself throughout the session.

Sweet malt with honeydew melon and fresh, crisp, light floral notes. Some honey and toffee may be detected with warmth.

Sweet on entry with astringent bitterness in the middle, lingering well into a long finish. Toasted malt adds to the clearly grain-centric flavors while fruitiness and bready flavors may also be detected.

Silky smooth, perhaps even slick, with a creamy head and fine carbonation. A medium body with some astringency while the alcohol is barely noticeable.

This is a decent gateway beer and, in my opinion, better than the typical mass-produced offerings. It has enough character to be interesting, yet is reserved enough to be enjoyed after a frustrating day of work.

Delicious beer! Found at a local market in California. Perhaps I am just partial towards cream ales.

Poured into a conic glass with at least 3 fingers of head, it was a fantastic creamy beer with a amazing taste.

The beer that I find most similar to wexford is Boddingtons and this beer blew that out of the water.

Poured from a nitro-can into a conic pint glass in high elevation Libby, Mont.

A- Two-finger white creamy head with long retention. Amber colored body with fairly high clarity.

S- Grassy and medium character malts.

T- Caramel malts, bitter. Not much more to say about it other than it is creamy.

M- Creamy and smooth.

O- Not a good beer. I'm not a fan of it. But then again, it might be nice as a cold pint at a pub.

Poured from a nitro-can into a shaker pint, the beer is a rich, crystal clear, caramel coloring with a great cascade on the pour and a dense, creamy, off-white head of about a half an inch that doesn't budge. Aromas of buttercream sweetness and roast, very rich. Flavors are light and roasty, on a thin, smooth body. Toasted grain and subtle, creamy sweet blend together well, with a slight bitterness at the very end to clean everything up. Flavors end up a bit on the light side, but very drinkable. Tangy sweet aftertase, with a slightly cloying, dry finish.

From notes.

Appearance: Clear caramel hue with a smooth off-white nitro-induced head.

Aroma: A bit of malt sweetness. Really not much there.

Taste: The only taste is caramel malt. No hops. Decently clean but a little unbalanced and cloying in the sweetness of the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Over medium in body which is a tad heavy for what I'd call more of a session ale. Very smooth and creamy courtesy of the nitrogen widget.

Final Thoughts: I'm a huge fan of Boddington's Pub Ale but for some reason Wexford's nitro-can Irish Cream Ale doesn't do the trick for me. It's just a little to heavy in body and too sweet. Would I drink it again? Eh, nope.

A nice finger of tight foamy head on a clear, dark straw colored body.

The taste is moderately sweet with a mild bitter finish.
The texture is smooth with low carbonation and medium body.
A nice, easy drinking ale..

Wexford Irish Cream Ale has a thick, creamy, roiling, off-white head and a clear, copper appearance, with a large cream sheen of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of light, creamy malt and cream, and the flavor is of sweet, lightly-roasted barley malt, sugar, toffee, and cream, with some alcohol and bitterness in the back taste. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Wexford Irish Cream Ale finishes semi-dry, refreshing, mellow, and very drinkable. Overall, this is an excellent beer.

Pours a clear copper with a foamy khaki head that settles to a small, dense cap on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace stick to the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, slight caramel, and a metallic aroma. Taste is much the same with a metallic aftertaste. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat but creamy mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is drinkable, but it's best aspect is the appearance in my opinion.

Pours a burnt amber color with a handsome crown of rich, delicate, Irish foam. Thick patches of lacing cling gracefully to the glass. Aroma is mild but clean and palatable, smelling of caramel with the slightest balance of floral hops. The flavor is sweet and slightly acidic, reminiscent of apple juice laced with caramel, with absolutely no carbonation whatsoever. It may be possible that I've tasted a flatter beer, but nothing comes to mind off-hand. Mild bitterness can be detected in the finish, but the whole affair is far from what I'd consider balanced. The caramel and apple juice waver back and forth on the palate with little else to wrest one's attention. The presentation of this brew was excellent, but the flat, one-dimensional flavor just doesn't back it up.

A: amber in color; 1.5 finger creamy head; no visible carbonation; excellent lacing

S: cream upfront with the hint of an aroma comparable to apple juice

T: follows the nose with a slight metallic aftertaste

M: light, creamy texture; mild carbonation; easy drink-ability

O: I couldn't get the thoughts of creamy apple juice out of my mind while drinking this; the metallic presence was definitely a turn off on this one, but the easy drink-ability makes this a decent beer

A- Very nice amberish orange with a stiff, creamy one-finger head, cascading carbonation like a Guinness on pour then fairly still. Creamy, tight lacing.

S- Smells more like a lager than an ale. Nice crisp malt scent. Perhaps a bit musty.

T- Subdued, but really quite nice malt profile with slightest bitterness. Got a bit of tin upfront (a negative) but it subsided as the beer warmed.

M- Very smooth. The feel of the head is creamy and superb. Beer is light-bodied, but nice.

O- I docked it for the metallic taste I got in early sips, but this beer is actually pretty good.

Good God. This is the worst beer I have had in ages. And I'm thankful I haven't had anything nearly as bad that I can recall in recent memory. The beer looks awesome, but it tastes like a malty mess with minimal bitter tones and hardly enough hop influence. It's just...bleh. Nasty. This one is going down the drain.

Pours a rich copper into a pint glass. 1 inch thick creamy head that stays on!
Caramel malts, butterscotch and heavy cream on the nose.
Sweetness on the palate, again caramel, with a very creamy mouthfeel.
Hop bitterness is kept at bay by the sweet malts.
Highly drinkable, very typical of the Irish brews.
Would recommend!

Pours a nice amber color with a big thick head that lasts forever. Good lacing too. Appearance tends to be the best thing about these cream ales in nitro cans.
Smells like... not much. A faint light fruit and honey smell. A bit of a bready smell as well.
Tastes like... biscuits and honey. I taste a bit of apple as well. Fairly nice. Feels nice and creamy in the mouth as expected. Light body, but very nice feel anyway.

Obviously not a life-changing beer. However, it is very sessionable. I wouldn't mind drinking a four pack of this while outdoors, watching some sports on tv, or even just chilling with friends. It's not the kind of beer you rave about, just the kind you enjoy. I like it for what it is.

A- This beer pours beautifully, with an inch of head and a nice amber body
S- Extremely malty, with small hints of prunes. Alcohol is slightly present which seems odd at 5% abv
T- Again, the malt is completely dominant. There is a slight hint of earthy hops, but the alcohol mentioned in smell is not apparent.
M- Dry and light, this beer comes off a bit flat.
O- I probably wouldn't try this beer again, but it wasn't all that bad and the joy I get out of watching the bubbles due to the nitro can makes up for it's mediocrity.

A - Beautiful two finger head, like soft serve ice cream and permanent. Honey like colour to the beer with incredible sheets of lacing all day. As with any nitro can, looks can be deceiving so lets have a sniff...

S - Not what anyone would call a strong aroma, but there is cream, honey and fuggles, which work well together.

T - Cream, honey and vanilla ice cream, touch of banana and milk. Light, sweet and fluffy.

M - Full body, smooth and creamy in the head, watery underneath, low carbonation.

O - Keep swirling it as you go, like us it loses a lot without its head.

Poured into a Shiner Bock pint glass. No readable freshness date.

A- Once the can is popped, the widget lets out a little whistle and cream-colored foam is poured into the can. The foam begins its cascading ascension to the top of the glass leaving behind a light brown body and eventually settles at a finger's worth of fluffy head.

S- Biscuity, buttery malts as per the usual pub-style aroma. A little sweeter-smelling than most, though.

T- Bready, doughy malt flavor that's sweet and has a slightly chalky aftertaste. Very, very smooth and unchanging with each sip consistently the same as the last. Low amount of bitterness and, as expected, a low alcohol presence.

M- Creamy but thin and light. Soft and fluffy with the so-called "flat" feel.

O- Pretty one-dimensional but good for what it is. Very easy and fun to drink.

440 mL Nitro can poured into a mug

Appearance: Nice amber color with an off-white really creamy head. The effect created by the nitro can and the pour is really nice for something from a can.

Smell: Slight bitterness that is not too pronounced but there is more of a caramel sweetness to it.

Taste: It has that creamy taste with a little bit of caramel, fruits and a slight bitterness. The creaminess balances out any bitterness this has. Like Guinness this gives the impression of it being heavier then it really is (not that that is bad).

I used a hefeweisen glass. It had all the space I needed as this pours with a glorious head thanks to the nitro can. Even after the head settles it remains substantial at 1 and 1/2 inches.

I've been wanting a Cream Ale for a while and found one at a local store in High Point, The Brewer's Kettle. After the head settles, you are left with a nice head and an amber/copper beer in your glass.

There is a nice malty aroma but it isn't the reason you go for a cream. This style, for me, is all about mouthfeel and it delivers that nice creamy texture that is the hallmark of a cream ale.

If you can't stand a nitro can, stay away. I do love a nice IPA and this is the exact opposite of an IPA but I loved it. But isn't that the great thing about craft beer - the different tastes and mouth feels that span the spectrum.

Pours like coffee cream with superb cascading effect. Creamy head is thick and maintains for the entire drink.

Smell is nutty and mildly roasted with hints of spices. No skunk.

Malty throughout with a biscuity character. Roasted almonds. Hints of cinammon and nutmeg spices. Mild piney hop bitterness. Good balance.

Light body and low carbonation but has a bready texture unlike other examples of the style.

This stuff is actually pretty descent.

Poured from the nitro widget go can, into a nonic pint glass.

A one finger head creamy, off white sort of almost pink in color sits on a fairly good text book color amber body. Some very finite bubbles manage to stick around much of the edge of the glass.

Bouquet is a mild estery sort of fruity/marmalade, mixing in with a little bit of dry malt. At first opening, it doesn't come off that great but improves dramatically while resting.

Upon taste, body is what to be expected out of nitro, sort of rich and creamy. Mild malt backbone on this, kind of subdued, with some biscuit graham just faintly on the finish, and some faint banana.

Overall not bad, drinkable, no harm in having it, but probably wont grab another one in the future. This doesn't grab my attention very much.

Say what you want about my tastes but at this point at least I am a bit of a sucker for these nitro cans. This beer looks beautiful; there's an exquisitely creamy head that hangs around forever and lots of froth just plastered to the side of the glass. Golden in color and clear enough to read this review through.

The downside of the nitro can is experienced in the aroma and taste. Smells faintly malty and sweet, with a metallic undertone, and very mild overall, perhaps a little buttery. Taste is the same but thankfully without the metallic aspect; just a lightly sweet and malty flavor with mildly bitter English hops.

Body is smooth and creamy, with low carbonation. A bit watery. Lingering aftertaste that's mostly bitter and a touch on the sweet side.

So this beer is far from profound. Still enjoyed it, more than most, apparently, but not as much as other nitro cans such as Young's Chocolate or even Tetley's. Worth a shot if you like this kind of thing.
