Pours like coffee cream with superb cascading effect. Creamy head is thick and maintains for the entire drink.

Smell is nutty and mildly roasted with hints of spices. No skunk.

Malty throughout with a biscuity character. Roasted almonds. Hints of cinammon and nutmeg spices. Mild piney hop bitterness. Good balance.

Light body and low carbonation but has a bready texture unlike other examples of the style.

This stuff is actually pretty descent.

440ml can purchased from Berkeley Bowl West in Berkeley, CA. I'm a sucker for a nitrogenated can, I know it. This one opens with the best of them, a huge sucking intake of noisy expansion, promising creamy glory below.

Looks the business. Smooth, creamy pour starts the beer of a sandy yellow hue, settling out to a rich copper with a very fine, creamy whipped meringue consistency head. Lacing is pointy and fine, sticking around for a long time. Body is light, and the bubbling is fine when tilted. Yeah, I love the look of this kind of beer, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Nose is mild and relatively smooth, with a light but pleasant creamy malt character backed up by a faint suggestion of earthy English hops. It's all very mild, but in a way that suggests intention and purpose. It's quite pleasant.

Taste is similarly mild, but again well-balanced and well thought out. Smoothness runs through the centre and the front of the palate, not so much giving much in the way of flavour, but laying down a weak malt basis. This is follows and punctuated by a dusky but clear hop character which provides a single counterpoint above and towards the back of the palate. Feel is smooth but light, and far from bloating.

This is a mild beer, but it's a pleasant one, with structure and with interest. It's also extremely accessible and very pleasant to drink. Yes, it's not going to wow you with flavour, but for what is presumably a pretty mass-produced English ale, there's a lot to like.

Clear bright copper (SRM 15) after the cascading head settles to one inch creamy beige. Fine carbonation and lace coat the Harp nonic glass while the head maintains itself throughout the session.

Sweet malt with honeydew melon and fresh, crisp, light floral notes. Some honey and toffee may be detected with warmth.

Sweet on entry with astringent bitterness in the middle, lingering well into a long finish. Toasted malt adds to the clearly grain-centric flavors while fruitiness and bready flavors may also be detected.

Silky smooth, perhaps even slick, with a creamy head and fine carbonation. A medium body with some astringency while the alcohol is barely noticeable.

This is a decent gateway beer and, in my opinion, better than the typical mass-produced offerings. It has enough character to be interesting, yet is reserved enough to be enjoyed after a frustrating day of work.

Delicious beer! Found at a local market in California. Perhaps I am just partial towards cream ales.

Poured into a conic glass with at least 3 fingers of head, it was a fantastic creamy beer with a amazing taste.

The beer that I find most similar to wexford is Boddingtons and this beer blew that out of the water.

Poured from a nitro-can into a conic pint glass in high elevation Libby, Mont.

A- Two-finger white creamy head with long retention. Amber colored body with fairly high clarity.

S- Grassy and medium character malts.

T- Caramel malts, bitter. Not much more to say about it other than it is creamy.

M- Creamy and smooth.

O- Not a good beer. I'm not a fan of it. But then again, it might be nice as a cold pint at a pub.

Poured from a nitro-can into a shaker pint, the beer is a rich, crystal clear, caramel coloring with a great cascade on the pour and a dense, creamy, off-white head of about a half an inch that doesn't budge. Aromas of buttercream sweetness and roast, very rich. Flavors are light and roasty, on a thin, smooth body. Toasted grain and subtle, creamy sweet blend together well, with a slight bitterness at the very end to clean everything up. Flavors end up a bit on the light side, but very drinkable. Tangy sweet aftertase, with a slightly cloying, dry finish.

From notes.

Appearance: Clear caramel hue with a smooth off-white nitro-induced head.

Aroma: A bit of malt sweetness. Really not much there.

Taste: The only taste is caramel malt. No hops. Decently clean but a little unbalanced and cloying in the sweetness of the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Over medium in body which is a tad heavy for what I'd call more of a session ale. Very smooth and creamy courtesy of the nitrogen widget.

Final Thoughts: I'm a huge fan of Boddington's Pub Ale but for some reason Wexford's nitro-can Irish Cream Ale doesn't do the trick for me. It's just a little to heavy in body and too sweet. Would I drink it again? Eh, nope.
