After visiting most of the liquor stores in the LR area, Springhill seems to have the best beer selection.
Their micro staples are Boulevard, Moylan's, Sierra Nevada, Rogue, Avery, New Belgium, and Goose Island. They have other micros in ones and twos as well.
Most of their imports are from Germany, Belgium, U.K., Japan, and Mexico.
Of course they have a full array of US macros.
I stop by fairly often and it looks like they move their stock through well and they also have the seasonals as they come up.
If you are in this part of the world, this is one of the few places with a good selection.

This place has the best selection in Little Rock. The beer selection in Arkansas is not that great, but this place has anything that is distributed in the state. They have a fairly balanced selection. There is a good amount of German, English, and Belgian brews. They have beer on the shelves and in a cooler. The staff isn't really that helpful, but I never really asked for help. One time they did have a New Belgium tasting (La Folie and Biere de Mars) and the girl doing that was very nice. I'm sure their beer manager is on point though because he's picked out a pretty good selection. Prices are fairly reasonable.

Seemed like a good selection (bear in mind this was in Arkansas), had a friendly staff. Picked up Goose Island India Pale Ale and Honkers Ale, New Belgium La Folie (supposedly available in Tx, can't find it) , Corsendonk Brown Ale and a Diamond Bear mixed twelve pack.
Easy to find, large purple sign and had a drive through window but we elected to go inside.
I Wish I shopped somewhere which could match the enthusisism and friendliness of this store at home. If you are in the Little Rock area I highly recomended it!!!

The best beer selection in the North Little Rock area. Numerous Imports and domestic craft beers as well as all of the macro beers. There are several knowledgeable staff members who can recommend beers based on your likes. As well as tell you what to expect from beers that are unknown to you. They have quite a bit of wine and spirits as well, though I'm not much into them. The prices are comparable to other beer stores in the area. They always have a mixed 6 available though they choose the beers in the six, such as a 6 of different Oktoberfest beers, IPA's, etc. The beer style changes periodically. And they've started updating the beer blog at the web site making it easy to see what's coming up.

They definitely have a large selection of beer for this area of the country. From my first trip it seems that they have more American craft beer than imports but they do have imports. Living in Memphis I can say for sure that they have some things not available here like Schneider and Brooklyner, Goose Island, Moyland, Krebs/Choc.
Some of the beers had a rating/description tag on the shelf which was helpful. I didn't ask the staff for any help but when I was checking-out they were very friendly. They asked if I wanted a box and boxed up my purchase for me when I said I needed one.
I didn't pay much attention to the prices since I was buying things I can't find anywhere else, locally.
There web site is a little old. There hasn't been very many updates to the beer section this year (2010) which concerned me before I went there that they may have lost interest in the craft beer market but the selection in the store proved otherwise.
I was there on a Saturday afternoon and I noticed there were several other beer geeks there shopping and discussing beer.
I plan to go back and get more details and beer.

Springhill Wine and Spirits is in North Little Rock, Arkansas. It's easy to find. Before I went there I checked their website (www.springhillwineandspirits.com). The website has lots of great information, including wine and beer reviews from the employees. Their beer section had a good selection from different countries, styles, and price ranges. They also have a convenient drive through.
I just happened to go there the day they were having a Father's Day tasting special for Chimay. They were giving away a free Chimay glass with every 750mL bottle of Chimay, but the delivery truck with the glasses was running a little late. Eric (the Asst Manager) said for me to check back. I went to lunch and came back and he gave me an extra glass for my trouble. Eric gave me several tips about the beer that I purchased (proper pouring technique, temperature, glass style).
I highly recommend this establishment.

I am a regular customer. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. If a beer is available in the area and you want it, they will get it. That may not be helpful if you are just passing through, but if you live in the area then it is a very nice service.
I am a Belgian beer aficionado and they have always had a good selection but recently they have added several new and delicious things including St. Bernardus 12 and Liefman Goudenband. If you are in the Little Rock area and want a good beer, this would be my first stop. There are several nice stores South of the river too, but I believe this is the best among them all.
