Small pizza joint right down the street from SLU. Located inside of a strip, not the biggest of places and the weekend crowd can make it quite busy. and if you plan on eating there when SLU has something going on, you better get there early! close seating but a decent amount. the actual design inside is really industrial and modern.
only top shelf here. first time i ate here, i had to wait extra for my pizza. see, the chef did not like the way it came out so he made me another one to make sure it was perfect. pizza is an art and i will always appreciate a pizza artist. they slave for the perfect pie.
service could be a bit faster at times. i have waited at the front for a waitress for far longer than i would have liked but they are always friendly.
beer selection was good and is now better. started off with locals only but has started carrying other domestic craft and belgian imports. schlafly, o'fallon, bear republic seem to be very common with some rotating.
this is neopolitan pizza so be careful when you order because you may not even get cheese. basil is very common on top and each pie is carefully made to perfection. you can choose from mozzarella or buffalo mozzarella. many uncommon toppings so always ask before you order. i saw one couple get a pizza that was dough and sauce, no cheese (which is still excellent!).
pizzas are about 10"-12" or so and typically its 1 pizza per person and at $8-$12 you may think it is expensive however they use top shelf ingredients here. i ate at una pizza in NYC and the same pizza was twice the cost so IMO, this place is a steal! quick name drop, Buffalo Brewing is right across the street for some great after dinner beer drinking.

Small place with an industrial look inside. There are probably a dozen tables with about 5 chairs at the bar. It can get fairly busy on the weekends, but for the most part, it's easy getting in and out.
They have 9 taps and tend to focus on IPAs. They are always changing the lineup and it's always solid. Generally one of my favorite tap lists in town, considering the number of taps they are working with. Schlafly will also bring in a cask about once a month.
The food is great. You have about 8 different neapolitan pizzas to choose from on the menu, and there's always a pizza of the day. The menu is small, but what they do, they do really well.
Overall, I highly recommend Good Pie. Great addition to the STL beer scene.

A - Awesome. Quaint location near Grand. Centrally located for the most part, easily accessed from 44. Brick walls, authentic Neapolitan wood fired over which is so damn cool. Picture of the guy who installed it and taught the folks how to use it is on the wall. This place smells like a mild wood fire with touches of pizza dancing on the tip of your nose.
Q - Pretty Good, beer is well taken care of. From what I have seen so far, quick turnover on the kegs. One bottle, Saison DuPont, which is kept in a no light cooler.
S - Quickly greeted, pizza easily within ten minutes, and a beer damn near on the table when I sat down.
S - Pretty good, No BMC. St Bernys Wit, Schalfly Weiss, Southern Tier IBA, Hop Rod Rye, Founders Centennial, Schlafly Dry Hopped Pils. All on tap. From what I hear they are putting a tap at the pizza station, which is awesome. If they had more taps, I can only imagine what else they would have.
F - Absurd. Wood fired Neapolitan style pizza. Real ingredients. No provel in sight in this place. Buffalo Mozz available, otherwise its cow mozz. The mussel pizza is seasonal, but its unbelievable. No pizza over 15 bucks, which is almost unheard of especially with these ingredients.
V - With the quality of the food and the price combined together, this place is a steal. These people love food and beer which is a rare thing in these parts. Not to mention they love baseball too, which is just the icing on this Buffalo Mozzarella covered cake. Certainly a must hit the the Greater St. Louis area. Without a doubt one of my mainstays.
