Passed by here to pick up a growler of their latest fall release, the Wet Hopped Pale Ale. Ended up waiting >45 minutes while the lady working the cash scampered back and forth to serve a group of people (presumably there with a small work function), didn't even get a nod to acknowledge our presence.
They've got two separate areas for ordering pints and picking up growlers which made the process even more challenging. Waiting this long is probably an anomaly in terms of their normal service, but recognition and the ability to make change for a $20 bill to pick up a single growler (a process taking no more than 30 seconds) made this entire process grueling. Inefficient, if not understaffed. Beer is mediocre at best, all growlers are presumably filled straight from the casks they're produced in (uncarbonated, and flat by the time you get to opening them - within the same day it seems). Two casks pouring at all times it seems (on a rotating basis I'd assume), and a couple local bottles available otherwise. Interesting to get a quick view of the brewing equipment however, which is done in a traditional 1800's setting, without any modern equipment. Given the circumstances, I can cut them some slack on some aspects of the experience - but certainly not something I hop I go through again if/when I go to return my growler.

It's no brewery. its a cafeteria with mediocre food next to a cask tap room. Beers were tasty, the food was overpriced and underwhelming. Service mediocre at best. Don't pay 7$ to park there and don't pay for the admission-you don't have to pay for either to go to the "Brewery". We both chose the plowman's lunch: basically some lunch meat and the only cheese was colby-jack. Certainly not an impressive plowmans. I had the pale ale and my co-worker had the bottled cream ale. We both enjoyed the beers.

Business lunch here. If you do that, you can park for free and stroll the grounds, those ar pluses. You eat at a family restaurant in the basement. The brewery itself is small and by a side room, and its only casks. They only serve contract made on-taps from their partner Trafalgar. Unfortunately a weaker reputation for those. Go to the tasting, try the casks. I do not know how long the growlers will last as nothing is added to these. But I was happy with the casks. Come for that, the restaurant is rather ordinary, though service was good.
