This place is great! They have loads of craft beer and they know about their stuff too. They have plenty of limited things, and lots of interesting beers. The staff is very helpful and very knowledgable. They give you a free glass from a brewery if you buy that beer. The employee I spoke to mentioned that they were going to be basically giving away bottles of some of the harder-to-get beers (Brooklyn Black Ops, Founders Nemesis and more) for $.01 to lucky facebook fans. That's a pretty nice gesture, I think. The only beef I have with them is that everything they had there that I've seen before seemed to be about 20% more expensive than the average. That's not my favorite situation.

Awesome craft beer selection for the North Shore of MA. They do a lot of updating via twitter/facebook which is extremely helpful. Their prices are very good and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. One of the better overall craft beer stores ive been too. They have a good constant rotation and I try to stop in here every couple weeks. My go to store when my stock gets low. There's not much they could do to improve, they do it right and I am glad it's right near me.

Went here while visiting the area on a recommendation from others. Place was easy to find from the interstate. Walked in and all the beer is towards the back. They have an excellent selection of local beers (Enlightenment, Jacks Abby, Pretty Things, Mystic etc.). The staff are beyond helpful and were quick to help me when I told them I was from out of state. Very knowledgeable about everything in their store. They gave me some good tips on a trip to Hill Farmstead and Alchemist. If you even remotely in the area its worth the drive/time to go here.

I had read about it, but finally made the trip today. Not much to look at, but then you start to look around and the selection is as good as you will find in Massachusetts.
Service was terrific. Immediately approached and asked if I needed help. Got great suggestions from the owner. Unlike some of the stores around the Boston area, the staff is not keeping the best stuff, so good hard to find beers are available. My likes are one the stout end and came away with three I had been searching for and two suggestions to try.
Follow on Twitter for updates on new stock.
Belgiums are on an entire row, US on another, international on a third. Refrigerated section extends well beyond the Bud family, with good craft beer ready to drink.
As a sidelight to the beer review, I note that they have a huge good whiskey selection.
Put this one on you list of places to check by often.

Really like this store. If you are into craft beer and are in the greater Boston area this is the place to shop. The store would benefit from more space, but they make the most of what they have. Beer section is well organized with beers grouped by region and style. The service is excellent. It really shows that they are beer enthusiasts. They have an informative web page and respond promptly to email questions. Good Facebook page as well with updates on hot items as they come in. Overall excellent beer shopping experience.

I live about 45 minutes from this place but decided to check it out on my way back from a day trip with my wife. The place is very small with about 25% of the space dedicated to beer. But boy do they cram a lot in. The thing that set this place apart was the service we received. I forget the guys name but he took about 15 minutes to give my wife and i a "tour" of the beer section, pointing out many recent additions along the way. He was knowledgeable and patient. The selection was very good but crammed. They have a nice selection of beer glasses from different breweries which are free if you buy a beer from said brewery. That's a nice touch except if compelled me to buy more that i probably should have. Overall, I would recommend this place.

Stopped here after visiting the Homebrewing Hobby store in Woburn. I've heard many things and finally decided to stop in since I was close. What suprised me most was how small the place was. It's really not any bigger than your average high school classroom, with a cooler in the back. However there is no space waisted. For the most part everything is reasonably well organized and most things seem to have a home. I'm being reasonable here, like I said the place is really small so there are some stacks of beer in the aisle and towards the back as well. I initially wasn't too impressed with the service, but they came through in the end. My wife and I walked in and we got "the head knod." I'm fine with that, but we spent a decent amount of time walking around and the 3 or so employees working didn't move from behind the register. However once I checked out, the man working the register informed me if I purchased one more beer I would recieve 10% off my purchase...which came to a free beer and $1.50 off my purchase. He said I could go grab one and while I did he left the register to get me a box for the beer I was buying. I ended up getting 6 Stone collaboration brews one of which was the More brown than Black IPA which I was stoaked about then I got a couple 4 packs of Hopponius Union. I was very happy to see they had that much for me to buy of Jack's Abby. HU isn't too easy to come by at the moment since they've switched distributers. The Selection is very good, plenty to choose from and it runs deep. We're not talking about just flagship/regular lineups from many breweries. There was plenty of special release beers that were on the shelves. Very good import selection of Belgian and other Euopean brews, Fantome, Mikkeller, Haandbraak, and the list goes on. Prices were fair, but everything seemed to be $1-$2 more than what I see at Granite Liquors, not thier fault, it's tough to compete with the Bearded Beer Guy. It's a bit of a hike for me, so I wouldn't go up there just to go, but I think I would stop by to see what they had again if I were in the area, it's certainly one of the better craft beer stores in MA.

WOW, this is a must shop stone if you pass by stonham, Redstone doesn't look like much from the outside but walk in and its craft beer heaven!!! they have a fantastic selection of some of the best stuff around and some hard to find brews. not to mention they have a vast selection of imports as well including Mikkeller, BrewDog etc... i live in CT but i will be making multiple trips up to this place it was well worth the 2 hour ride i took to get there. Prices are very reasonable, they even offer a 10% discount on 6 bottles, selection is massive! i cant say enough good things about this store def an A+++

After visiting Redstone Liquors once, I feel that it will become my regular spot while visiting Boston (I live in New York, but do visit Boston occasionally). It's easy to get to if you're driving.
The space is fairly small, and it's a full-service liquor store so to speak (full selection of wine and spirits). However, I found beer selection absolutely top level. Local breweries (which is a big deal for me) are very well represented. There are good options regardless what criteria you use - style, packaging (12 oz. and 22 oz. bottles, cans), origin. As I mentioned local is big for me, so I picked up mostly New England brews, but also selected some tried brands for our group (on the way to ski in Vermont).
The space is a little cramped, but it didn't bother me as I spent good 30-45 minutes browsing and choosing. Prices seemed fair and they do give a discount for anything over 6 loose bottles.
As I entered the guy behind the counter gave me a quick tour of the layout and also recommended a few brews. I also chatted with him while paying for my selection and got an impression of an honest and knowledgeable salesperson. That's definitely a plus.

I'm from Michigan and was out of town for two weeks working in New Hampshire. Upon flying into Boston, a fellow BA'er told me I should stop by Redstone on the way down as I was looking for some items I couldnt find in Michigan.
I went in, was impressed by the selection and the prices were reasonable. The guy working mentioned the owner wasnt currently here but if I came back later he loves to talk shop on beer and even trade.
After a few email conversations with Kamal I was able to come in, pick up a few limited releases and chat with him a little bit. I was very impressed by him and the store. It's always great to see owners passionate about craft beer and having fair prices. The week I was there, he even did a random drawing for customers to have the ability to purchase rare beers.
Anyway, I could go on and on but this is certainly a must stop if you're in the area. Unfortunately until he finds new store front space, it's a little hard to find as it's behind a plaza.
