On tap in a tulip glass at the patio. Pours dark copper tones with fair head retention. Caramel malts evident at first, with some graininess and subtle toasted notes. More pronounced hops than I expected. Not as sweet as most nut brown ales. Mouthfeel is light, with a dry aftertaste. Not bad, but nothing to cheer much about. Not a typical nut brown ale IMO.

On-tap at the brewpub. Like an a British style red ale, with lots of malting. Average mouthfeel, toasted malt, caramel some moderate amount of hops. A little acidic finish. Middle of the road and not going anywhere, skipable for the better beers.Carbonation right there.

On tap at the brewpub- A deep chestnut pour with a finger of off white foam. Nutty nose is also earthy with toffee and caramel malts, a bit toasty too. Tastes of sweet malty nuts, caramel, some creme brulee, brown sugar, with a nice dose of fresh hops to balance the sweetness. Medium light body. Good.

On tap at the brewpub: Clear medium amber color ale with a small foamy head. Aroma of caramel malt with notes of cereal. Taste is mostly dominated by caramel malt with light notes of nuts and cereal. Body was too thin for my own liking with some OK carbonation. Not bad overall but a fuller body would have improved this beer IMHO - Definitely another one to re-rate in the future.
