330 mL bottle poured into an Ithaca Excelsior! tulip. 2010 bottle. Consumed on January 8, 2013. My first review with the new .25 intervals. Finally, we have some consistency in significant figures! Anyway...
Appearance - I knew I'd need two glasses for this bottle, but foolishly, I was not prepared. Half the glass is a cream head with a variety of bubbles sizes. It settles to a full finger of foam on top of a dark golden body. Chunks flow into the beer about halfway through the bottle. The floaties suspend themselves toward the bottom of the glass, like a freeze frame of shrapnel coming from an explosion in the stem of the tulip.
Smell - Fruits all over the place. Every type of light fruit. Bananas, apples, apricots, pears. Deep malt presence gives it a nice warm smell, if that makes sense. Inviting like a cognac. Definite alcohol presence, like a cognac, as well.
Taste - Ouch, that alcohol comes through with a vengeance here. Esters, fruits, and yeast. Complex flavor, as some of the paler malts make an appearance here, too. Strong alcohol bite is oppressive in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Way overcarbonated. Boozy and astringent. Not an easy beer to drink. I forgive a little bit as it comes with the territory. As it warms, the alcohol eases up and the malts come through for a much more refined finish.
Overall - Kinda like they tried to make an imperial tripel. Harsh finish along with all sorts of yeasty biproducts. It does make for an interesting drink, though.

33 cL 2010 bottle.
Pours a hazed golden apricot with a foamy white head, thick lace and good retention. Aroma of bubblegum, yeast, peach, booze, banana and bread. Medium thick body, heavy carbonation and a soft body. Flavor is hotter than nose suggested, with a ton of fruit (grape, peach, pear) and bubblegum and bready malt.

33cl 2012
Appearance. Pours a murky honey-brown with a finger of white head that doesn't last all that long.
Smell. Sweet fruits, mainly fresh pear, but also some orange and a bit of mango, some spicy belgian yeast and just a touch of caramel and grainy light malt.
Taste. Caramel and sweet orchard fruits, some spicy and earthy yeast, a little light grainy malt. Very nice and abv is very well hidden ...too well.
Mouthfeel. On the low side of full bodied, slightly syrupy, fairly soft medium carbonation.
Overall. A very nice beer with dangerously well hidden high abv and lots of nice fruity belgian flavours.
