Pours a hazy orange with golden straw like hues with a generous and dense foamy head that leaves a scattered, yet sticky lacing behind.
Big hop aromas of citrus, pine, and a touch floral with underlying citrus sweetness as well.
More tasty hops on the palate, again they are citrus like grapefruit and orange with lemon zest, a touch floral, and more pine. Similar to the aroma, there is also some faint sweetness to let you know the malt exists, but the hops are the highlight.
This Impy IPA is medium in carbonation with a thicker body, yet quite smooth as it coats the palate.
Excellent character in this beer. Just the right amount of flavors and aromas to entertain the senses and easy to drink as well.

This one is the orange IPA color with a very white foam in the tall tulip. Clear with no sediment in the bottle. Nice champagne bubbles and plenty spritzy on the tongue. A fruity hop aroma.
Some malty sweetness and a big alcohol flavor, sort of like Everclear and club soda. But here come the hops! Bitter and resiny, with a sharp mouthfeel. Very bitter aftertaste. Dry finish, in spite of the malt. A hint of spoiled fruit and mustard greens.
This one is a little more acidic and bitter than I enjoy. So many IPAs, and this one may be much loved on its home turf, but I don't find it worth the detour. From the 22 oz bottle bought at K'nB Wine Cellars in San Diego for $8.

Clear apricot colored with streams of fine tiny bubbles rising up quickly to a beige firm cap of foam that slowly recedes. Inviting aroma of bright fresh tangerine hops.
Initial flavors of citrusy hops, morphing quickly to grapefruit and bitter orange rind. Piney notes in the finish. Firm bitterness offsetting the malt, a bit of a rough-edged finish. Full mouthfeel, but tending a bit toward slick, slight warming of the cheeks. Very good IIPA.
