I tried this beer in the same session as Wachusett Quinn's Amber. I admit there are a few differences in these beers but man they are similar. If you gave me a sample on two different days, I'm not sure I could pick one from the other.
The biggest differences were the creaminess of the head, (This was creamy, Quinn's was more foamy)and the mouth feel where again the Country Ale was creamier and had better mouth feel.
This was a more balanced beer from start to finish.
A nice nutty caramel malt start balanced with some hops. Fades nicely and stays with you and provides a bready finish. A little bit sweet for my tastes but ok for the style.
I like more hop assertiveness.
Not my favorite Pale, but I'll let you buy me one. I'd rather move on.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
A: Golden/amber in color with a mild haze. Two fingers of creamy white head retain very well. Spidery lacing.
S: Bready and grainy malts. Citrusy hops. Lemon. Hint of mango.
T: Hoppy up front with lost of tropical fruit. Pineapple, clementine, and lemon. Very slight herbal backing. Modest bitterness. smooth graininess on the back end. Grainy finish with lingering hop bitterness.
M: On the lighter side of medium bodied. Very full and creamy in the mouth. Carbonation has a small bite that provides refreshing crispness. Smooth.
O: At this point in the game it falls in the middle of the pack as far as the style goes. It's easy enough to drink, but there's nothing that really makes you want to come back for more.

The Country Pale Ale pours a light copper with a touch of haze. A thin off white cap offers light retention.
Light citric hop aroma with a coarse grainy character dominates the aroma.
Taste is crisp and clean with citric notes dominant again. Offers a moderate lingering hop finish unlike their IPA's oddly, and a crackery pale malt character.
Spritzy carbonation and a light residual sweetness keeps things interesting and yielding an easy drinking ale.
A nice pale ale overall. Nothing over the top and yet nothing to detract either. Simple yet solid and my preferred brew from a mix-o-12 as for style...

Once again Wachusett has done anouther good job, this beer is very smooth for a Ale nice golden color and is very very drinkable and very smooth on the pallet I am not from the New England area but have lived here for 6 years now and have been trying all the New England beers I can and Wachusett time and time again has produced beers that have been very very good.

Pours a deep golden color with a decent white head that recedes quickly but leaves a fair amount of lace on the way down. Smells earthy and bit minerally with a fair amount of sugary malt sweetness and light floral hops beneath it. The flavor is sweet with an odd buttery tartness to it. Light toffee and butterscotch flavor with a mineral aspect to it. Little hop flavor and barely enough bitterness to keep this from cloying. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet sugary bubbly mouthfeel. I picked this up on a whim to fill my mix a six. This is quite sweet and lacks any balance, I'm glad I only have one.
