My friend's neighborhood joint - catering to local soccer hooligans in particular.

Booths, a bar, a pool table and seating...while they've expanded to 1600 square feet, it feels much smaller (though more cozy than cramped). Very dark, very relaxed, with what I imagine a typical Capitol Hill crowd to be like.

A good mix of local (Manny's, Elysian, Port Townsend, Maritime, etc) guest (Southern Tier), and import taps served in proper pints or tulips where desirable. Seasonals are often on special too.

Decent burritos though I didn't try their tacos. Decent service, though an odd mix of inattentive and overbearing (swooping down on my glass before I had finished my beer!)...though my friends said this was out of character as regulars are treated very well.

A great place to catch a game and have a decent pint and bite to eat if you are in the area - though Stumbling Monk is the more obvious local beer-nerd choice.

A: As soon as I walked in I thought..."local dive". Dark, wood booths, nice size bar area, just really laid back and cool

Q: All good to go here. No bad beer and the beers were quality

S: The service was very good, welcoming and helpful.

S: Another place with a well planned tap list. Everything from stouts, porters, IPAs, Pale and hef's plus more. Today I had a ST Choklat and almost got the Big Al Local Hero 9 Dubbel. They also had on Supergoose, and lots of other solid choices

F: Did not try any food, not sure if they had any. Next to Top Pot Doughnuts...bad bad bad!
