Presentation: 22 oz brown bomber with a blurb about the beer on the side of the label, no freshness date.

Appearance: Clear copper-orange colour with a hearty off white lace that leaves small patches all of the glass.

Smell: Fairly bristly hoppy aroma with a fruity back round, rather malty underneath the hops with hints of caramel.

Taste: Beefy medium body with a moderate carbonation and smooth and creamy mouth feel. Aggressive prickly hop bitterness with a juicy fruit character both from the hops and yeast. Suggestions of tangerines and pineapple on the tongue, caramel maltiness middle to end though has difficulty getting through the big hop presence. Hop flavour leaves an everlasting finish of raw herb and a touch of earth that helps dry in the end.

Notes: Hopped with a single variety of hop called Centennial, well structured to make for a great American IPA with an outstanding balance and drinkability.

A: Poured into a 16oz. pint glass. Hazy, the color of rose gold, and with a beautiful 1.5-finger head. A nice little ring of foam follows it down, leaving behind some nice lacework. Pretty sexy-looking IPA.

S: Aroma is not overpowering in any one flavor, but instead presents a nice balance of malt up-front and hops in the back. Inviting, with notes of grass, grains, some citrus rind, and a hint of honey.

T: The beer starts out with a malt backbone that provides much of the structure to the flavor. Mid-mouth has some nice floral hop notes, with a finish that is largely dominated by an alcoholic ester. There are some great flavor notes in here: rye whiskey, oak, dirt, pine, flower petals, malted barley, and a touch of banana and lemon. The finish is noticeably dry, and the aftertaste bitter, but the hotness of the alcohol cuts much of the flavor linger, so all you get is the bitterness.

M: There is good substance here, but at times it feels slightly gravely with a strong effervescence on the tongue after swallowing. Not-too heavy, but with an alcoholic hotness that cuts through.

O: A great IPA, but at 7.0% I would think it could hide its hooch a little better. Definitely one to pick up again, all things considered.

A: Slightly dull Amber with small springs of champagne bubbles and a creamy head. Looks fantastic.

S: Pungent caramel with an almost perfumey tropical fruit smell. Mango is the closest thing.

T: Bitter, with an almost earthy quality in the first few gulps. Upfront it has a very perfumey mango marmalade flavour. When swallowing you get a tart, bitter rindiness on the back of the palate. Perfect amount of sweetness to balance the bitterness. Being pedantic, it has a slight butteriness to it.

M: Just right although it's a bit sticky. Is that such a bad thing though?

O: I find that with these marmaladey hop bombs I'm blown away by the first few gulps and then get bored before I'm halfway through. Still, it tastes like a well crafted beer. I can see why people love these American hop bombs.

Pours a moderate/large head that is just off-white in color. Beer is an orange/gold color with a hint of red. Head has decent retention and moderate lacing. Smells of grapefruit with a bit of orange, bready and caramel malt, and a bit of pine.

Taste starts with pine and caramel malt, then moves on to grapefruit with a bit of orange/lemon, has a resiny/bready end, with the same aftertaste as end. Has an average mouthfeel with moderate/high carbonation for an IPA.

A- deep amber/gold with a big creamy white head that lasts throughout. Big lacing.
S-big citrus, pine, and floral notes. Awesome smell.
T-similar to aroma but a little bit subdued by comparison. This isn't a bad thing. The malt backbone holds up well to the big hops.
M-smooth with just a hint of hops oily-ness.
O-awesome IPA
