22 oz bottle copped singly from Super Saver in Somerville... Recently sampled this brewery's IPA, which was a pretty good sample of the style, and have heard a lot of positive things about this one, so I decided to give it a go...
Pours a deep, dark, red, amber, ruby-red hue with a minimal foamy and frothy head that left a fair amount of lacing...
Typical, grainy, amber aroma with a nice balance of hops and malts...
Taste was redolent of caramel, vanilla, barley, malts, hops, forals, and bread and butter...
Certainly not a very powerful taste, but pleasing and easily drinkable to say the least...
Not as good as their IPA, but this one went down crisp, clean, and smooth without any overbearing or cloying factors...
