Cloudy light yellow with a meringue head of a finger's height. 4.0
Tart lemon, unleavened bread, vanilla, salty crackers, brute-y yeast, and musty citrus hops. 3.5
Mellow lemon and vanilla. Almost a creme fraiche flavor. Herbal notes from the hops and a yogurty appeal. Sandy coriander finish. 4.0
Wet and light. Carbonation is medium-light, as well. Championship drinking. 4.0
Nice wit with loads of lemon and creme and a bit of stank. 4.0

On tap at Home Brew Mart.
A: The beer is the color of pale straw with a soapy white head. The body is completely transparent.
S: Wheat, perfumy coriander, vanilla, and honey, with pronounced orange and orange peel notes. It's lightly peppery with herbal and grain notes.
T: Notes of wheat with orange and honey. The beer is lightly sweet. Vanilla is faint, and coriander provides a mild spiciness. The finish is dry and crisp with a very light tartness.
M: Light in body with high carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel.
Overall: I can't recall the last time I tried this, but it's a light, refreshing, and enjoyable Wit. The 4% ABV is a plus.

I sampled this one on tap at the Ballast Point Brewing Co./Home Brew Mart in Linda Vista. Poured a clear pale white-ish color, with a bubbly white head on top. Aromas of lemon, light dough and a hint of spice. On the palate, this one is light bodied and refreshing, with flavors of light bread, citrus zest and coriander.

Flavorful wheat beer.
Attractive pale golden in the tall Pilsener glass at The Linkery in San Diego. Full and malty with a pleasing creamy mouthfeel. Fruity and rich with what seems like the classic banana/clove German wheat flavors. Very spicy with a nice tartness to go with the rich and malty round flavors. Hops are crisp and pleasing, and give a great balance.
I'd say this is a better Hefeweizen than a lot of beer claiming the style. Definitely not the typical sharp and skinny Wit. I'll have to try this in the bottle; it's definitely great on tap.

Poured on-tap at the brewery in a pint glass, the beer is an opaque, milky yellow color with chunky, wheat residue head. The head actually broke up into parts as it floated along the top of the beer. Spicy and sweet aroma, with highlights of lemony scents. The beer has a bready taste, with peppery and clove spiced characteristics. The beer maintains a light body desspite the appearance, smell, and flavors. It is a bit acidic, and the carbonation makes the finish sharp. Decent Wit.

Pours a nice golden color typical of the style. A bit of haze and an appropriately-sized white head. Very nice smell with some of the typical wheat scents coming through in addition to a few hefe characteristics. Taste was nice with some of the German-type yeast coming through again. Simple, but quite enjoyable. Light-bodied with ample carbonation. Drinkability was very nice, as this was quite refreshing on a hot August day.

yellow straw colored body...cloudy....small white head
citrus...lemon....wheat
tastes pretty much how it smells...clove and banana flavors that dominate most wheat beers here in the US are more subdued in this one
very thin compared to most of the American wheat beers....still very drinkable
i usually prefer the more creamier wheat beers, but this was still nice to try....i'd pass it over if there were other choices available

I had two seperate pours from this. The first looked something like watered down orange juice with some small debris seen floating, the second was cleaner and had a dark yellow appearence with some faint head on the top. WW has scents of wheat, belgian yeast and some subtle hops. Taste is the same but I also get some squeezed lemon, spices(clove), and just a bit of hop taste. The feel was good for a wit but not as crisp as others, this was rather smooth. Drinkability is great with a low abv but this style is not my bag.

Now listening to: Blonde Redhead - 23
Thanks to Beechwood for having this on tap!
A- cloudy, yellow gold boy with single finger white head
S- yeast, citrus, wheaty straw
T- Somehwat like it smealls, but with more belgian caracteristics. more restrained clove/banana than most US versions.
M- thinner, but fine. Actually, a more pleasant surprise than was expected.
D- Really god drinking wheat and this is coming from somebody who normally doesn't drink much wheat ales.

This was one awesome beer. I had it on tap at Dave&Busters and if it weren't $5.35 a glass I would have drank much more. It poured a medium yellow color with a nice white head that stuck around till the end and left very nice lace. The beer was very hazy, of corse, and you could not see through it at all. The smell was very crisp and citrusy. The taste was awesome, one of the most refreshing beers I've had in awhile. There was a great orange-ish tang to it along with a slight hop bite at the end. I have a feeling that this would be a good transition beer for people trying to get into the world of craft brews.

On tap at The 3rd Corner, a restaurant in Ocean Beach/San Diego.
Poured nice and pale, with a dense dense creamy tasting foamy head. Strong generic fruity nose, with a little spice. Maybe some banana. Hop bitterness is low. Not overly yeasty. Flavor is not very intense, but there are no off flavors, and it makes a nice light beer to go with really light food. My risotto and shrimp dish was a little much for it even.

This impressive and refreshing Belgian white ale is quite a good catch. The presenting color is cloudy and almost white with a nice head. The aroma and flavor is a nice tangy ester with a subtle hop presence. A very nice representation.

Poured from the bottle into a Hoegarden tumbler.
Out of the pour she comes a little dull and unfiltered pale lemon, but a real white and super creamy head is formed with some pretty good retention to it. Whipped up and merringue in appearance.
Nose is quite grainy, almost husky, with a slight lemon and mild green coriander sense. Fairly solid, with a hint of yeasty stench sensations.
A fairly neutral palate, bringing the citrus qualities to taste, but the body really shines with a full and rich juicy character. Malt rich dense and chewy, with a lemony finish. Mild very subtle hop it even seems hanging out just giving a little bit of bitterness. The flavors seem to mesh somewhat ok, but dont feel as bold as the mouthfeel would seem to indicate.
Overall though a real solid witbier, I'd have this again easily.

The beer pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma is full of wheat with a hint of orange thrown in. I also get a little vanilla in the aroma, which was unexpected. The flavor is similar. I get a lot of wheat notes, as well as a hint of coriander. The orange notes from the aroma don't really come through in the flavor. Medium, creamy mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pours a clear light yellow with a foamy bone colored head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of wheat, grain, spices, and yeast. Taste is much the same with a mild spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

A: Pours to a cloudy pale yellow with a slight hint of orange with less then a fingers worth of head that dissipates very quickly and leaves blotches of head all across the top.
S: Usual banana esthers with some coriander and an ever so slight hint of citrus.
T: Very nice tangy tart at the start. Spicyness of the coriander comes next and then the citrus and belgian yeast flavors come into play and then the alcohol at the very end. All the flavors are very mild and blend smoothly into one another. Very enjoyable.
M: Light carbonation. Nice crispness with the flavors, and the usual dryness in the after taste.
O: Very well put together brew. All the typical flavors are represented. Have to say it has less spice then most of the witbiers i've had but their absence is not missed here. This is my third Ballast Point brew and I have to say they've done a great job and are def becoming one of my favs.

Poured from a bottle into a point glass.
Look - light golden color, clear, with decent carbonation and about half a finger's worth of off-white foam that dissipates slowly.
Smell - interesting bananas and/or cloves type of smell. The coriander and orange peel are pretty evident.
Taste - pretty much exactly like the smell, only a little less obvious. There's a earthy, corn-like taste in the middle and aftertaste. Interesting.
Mouthfeel - pretty well-balanced, not leaning too far on the watery or creamy sides.
Overall - pretty interesting and thought-provoking brew.

A 22oz bomber picked up at Bruisin Ale's in Asheville, NC.
A - A cloudy bright yellow, with a hazy complexion. 2 big fingers of head and tons of sticky lace left on the glass. Lots of yeast sediment drifts to the bottom of the glass
S - Sweet, with hints of orange and tropical flavors, and wheat.
T - A tropical wheat, light and refreshing, with hints of citrus and coriander. So much flavor and taste for a 4% abv. Well done!
M - Medium to light bodied, not much carbonation. Average mouthfeel
O - A very drinkable wheat, more than perfect for a hot summer night. Like the bottle says, light and refreshing

Bomber from bevmo la quinta ca for 4.19$
Appearance - Slightly hazy yellow colour with an average size fizzy white coloured head. There is an above average amount of carbonation and there is some faint lacing. The head lasted for only a few minutes before it was gone.
Smell - Lemon/oranges, grains, yeast, coriander/cloves
Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste lemons/oranges, corn, grains and a bit of yeast. There is also a bit of a clove/coriander spiciness. It ends with a corn syrup and coriander/clove slightly tart aftertaste.
Overall - I expected more from this fantastic brewer. It's very drinkable and would be great during the warmer weather but the flavours are fairly boring and it doesn't have many features that would leave me seeking it out again.

I haven't tried any of Ballast Point's more "regular" beers. By that I mean things that aren't IPA's or Imperial Somethings. I've always wanted to and the manager at the store I work at has finally decided to bring some more Ballast Point.
The color on this is a nice very hazy yellow with not much of a head. I was a bit surprised by the lack of head because I'm used to wheat beers having a lot of foam to them.
I really like the smell on it. It's not a heavy wheat smell like some of the American wheat beers, but it's a like citrusy Belgian wheat smell. Honey and coriander are definitely on the smell.
The flavor is a bit more disappointing given the nice smell of it. There aren't any bright flavors that come through and it's a bit of a muddy flavor. It's hard to tell what I get up front. Banana? Honeydew? Something along those lines. It finishes with, oddly enough, a ground peppery flavor.
Nice carbonation with a bit of stickiness that coats your mouth. A good enough mouthfeel.
I would definitely drink this if it was summer and I wanted a good session beer. Overall it's not something that I'm going to be craving, but it's pretty decent.

Belgian style wheat, has the tart acidity on the tongue, but not a whole lot else. Not a lot of yeast or spice flavour. Okay, but not really Belgian. Would make a good session beer and pretty good for a light (4%) beer but not a great representation.

Pours a pale golden yellow with noticeable bubbles rising to the top. There's 1/4" of loose, fizzy head that quickly fades to nothing. The nose has notes of straw, yeast, and very faint orange peel. The taste is straw and grass with faint orange peel, but with very little coriander. The yeast probably plays the biggest role in the flavor. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with mild carbonation; a little viscous.
This is a little disappointing. Overall, it's a little winey and has little in the way of substance. It's one dimensional and is lacking some of the nuances one would expect in a Belgian beer.

Poured from a bomber into a pint glass.
A- Wheat colored with a bit more yellow than orange. A healthy 2 finger white head with spotty lacing.
S- More lemon and some earthy/citrus notes on the end. Not a very strong aroma.
T- Light bodied and surprisingly fruity. Some wheat and citrus which make it easy to drink. Only 4% ABV which also helps.
M- Just the right carbonation to liven the tongue. A bit toward the dry end which was nice and added to the drinkability.
O- A refreshing easy to drink Witbier. Nothing mindblowing, but I'd certainly drink another. Not overpowering, but adequate. Good mix of flavors to keep it intersting throughout-

Bomber thanks to a trade with ADZA, poured into a Lost Abbey tulip glass.
Has a hazy appearance, almost a lemon shade, with some light gold colour as well. Decently fluffy white head of foam adorns the top and is retained quite well.
Smells of banana and clove, predominantly the former with the latter playing a lesser role. Clear and defined, but not over the top.
Taste is reserved. Some coriander is there, likewise wheat and clove, not a lot of banana as i thought there would be given the smell.
Body suits the style, while not overly light. Not a tonne of carbonation.
This is a pretty safe wheat beer, nothing out of the ordinary, though in saying this, nothing is offensive either.
