Enjoyed among new friends at the epic beer tasting.
A - pours a clear, yellow with a white head. Minimal lacing, but enough to leave a trace on the glass.
S - A blend of citrusy, fruit...but not overpowering by any means. Hints of apricot and mango.
T - WOW. A perfect IPA. Tastes similar to the smells come through, plus some earthy pine. Definitely hop forward, with a nice hop aftertaste that follows.
D - if available, I'd drink this just about every time I wanted an IPA. It's that good. Easy to see why it's ranked so high.

Mmmm...
This is a great beer. Centennial and Amarrilo hops abound on the nose and taste. Any hophead's dream.
For anyone who is a hop lover, I strongly recommend this beer. it's not over the top like an Imperial, but it provides the hops in spades. Some other beers come to mind; Founders Centennial and Mad Hatter. I absolutely love Centennial and this beer is right alongside with it.
Ruby Red Grapefruit! Like Double Trouble or Hop Stoopid or a few others we can think of... west coast style. Nice and sweet... like the hops were just squeezed! Nice finish... a little bitter but not overly dry and strong.
This will be a mainstay in my beer fridge alongside Centennial and the Torpedo's.

a- pours a golden somewhat cloudy color. magnificent head that lingers with fantastic lacing.
s-not your typical hoppy ipa scent. a sweet orangey/tangerine like scent with an emphasis on sweet smelling
m-wow. delicious. sweet tasting hops characterized by orange and pineapple. no trace of malt really. a little heat from the alcohol but really nothing major
t-full body with a refreshing finish.
o-here's an IPA that i will be coming back to. fantastic

A - The Sculpin IPA pours into a chalice a clear gold, and an ample cream colored head.
S - Fresh, sweetish hops...orange peel.
T - Instant hops, on the sweet side. The opposite experience of the grapefruity IPA, which offer a more aggressive, bitter hop flavor. This follows the sweet nose fairly closely...oranges and tangerines, no overt malt presence to speak of.
M - Lively and effervescent. The Sculpin presents a full body/not heavy texture, some oils and stickiness.
O - What a brew. Again...on the sweet-tangy-orangy hop side of the flavor scale; and DELICIOUS! I had a "Pliny" clone once that reminded me a lot of this beer; and excellent representation of the style and specifically the flavor target.
