12 oz bottle. best before Jan 2013.
A: a very slight haze on an amber body. looks like a slightly hazed oktoberfest.
S: cinnamon and allspice notes are obvious, but not in your face. there is definitely some body behind this thing as well. you can sense it in the nose.
T: similar to the nose, cinnamon and allspice and nutmeg. mostly on the allspice and nutmeg side.
M: moderate carb on a medium body.
D: i like the amount of spice, but a pretty average pumpkin beer in my opinion. to many too much like it available right now.

Poured into a nonic pint...
A. Pours a very hazy, pumpkin orange color. About a finger of eggshell white head that quickly recedes to a quarter finger. Retention is good, as is the lacing.
S. Squashy, very squashy. Good dose of Belgian yeast provides some bright, crackery, mildly citrus notes. This melds very nicely with what I can only describe as a pumpkin seed and roasted pumpkin nose, one of the most pronounced I have encountered in a pumpkin beer. Rounding everything out are the traditional pie spices...allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon. This is a stellar nose, the Belgian scents really make it unique and I'm loving how it avoids the spice bomb trap and instead gives us plenty of the gourd.
T. Follows the nose. Breadiness and some mild citrus from the Belgian yeast, lots of roasted pumpkin and squash notes, with a nice pumpkin pie spice kick at the end. Love it.
M. Highly carbed, very crisp, which is appropriate for a Belgian ale I suppose. Light, refreshing, perfectly quaffable. The lightness could be perceived as watery, so I dock it a touch, but this is one you can drink several of and not feel like you just ate a whole pie.
O. One of my very favorite pumpkin ales, and a totally unique spin on an old classic. Very pumpkin forward, which is great in my book. Drinks almost like a hefeweizen with pumpkin pie spice and roasted pumpkin seed notes. Highly enjoyable and strongly recommended.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Notches on the dates seem to be out of alignment.
A - Pours a dark orange body with no real head retention to speak of.
S - Surprisingly witbier like. Cinnamon and coriander mostly. A touch of bread.
T - Coriander heavy with faint spices on the finish. Not very pumpkin or fall like.
M - Nice carbonation and smooth mouth feel.
O - An oddly coriander heavy beer with little resemblance to its namesake.

The beer is orange with a tiny head that quickly fades to nothing, giving a still appearance. The aroma offers bold autumnal spices, particularly cinnamon. Notes of pumpkin pie. The flavor is ok. Thin and watery feel. Overall, pretty easy drinking, light. 'Tis the season.

Bottle to LA Teku
12 oz
2012 bottle
Thanks to mdaschaf for this
App- A good orange color. Like a bit of a watered down orange gatorade. A nice clear color with a bit of a floatie look. A small 1/4" head that faded fast and no cling.
Smell- This one to me is much more pumpkin vs. spice. A good aromatic not
of pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Taste- Its not a spice bomb as other pumpkin beers. Quite tasty with a good balance and only a tinge of spices. Not as thick as some others in the style.
Mouth- Its more of a light medium body with a semi creamy and semi tingly medium carbonation. Residual pumpkin and a tinge of spices.
Drink- I enjoyed this one. Good balance and nice pumpkin flavors. The spices arent over extended and its not too thick.
