Pours a clear amber with desent size head.
Aroma is very citrusy with malts having a lighter smell. Good though.
Taste is semi assertive with a balanced malt and hop attack. I can taste mint in there along with the citrus notes.
Flows pretty good over the tongue with a bready grainy finish.
Good but rather plain.

12 oz bottle into a Samuel Smith pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy golden color that's surprisingly attractive given its lack of clarity. The head is a typical one finger white shade. Not much retention, but good residual lacing.
S: Slight caramel sweetness, biscuits, toffee, sweet citrus, and faint hints of pine. The aromatic qualities are a bit mild (especially hop-wise) for me, but are nonetheless enjoyable and even mildly complex.
T: In general, it's a bit low on flavor. The initial flavors are classically biscuity, before finishing with faint grapefruit peel. Hop bitterness washes out nicely after a couple sips. On the other hand, I feel like the hop profile could be more distinct. I notice a distant aftertaste of slight diacetyl and nuts, also. Not bad.
M: The strong carbonation works well with the combination of a sweet, malty finish and resiny texture. I could use a drier aftertaste here, but this drinks fine either way.
O: It's a decent offering to have with a sandwich at lunch. Worth a shot, but there are a lot of other pale ales I'd much rather have. A bit too safe and inoffensive for my tastes, but it's better if you go in expecting an English-style pale ale.
