On tap at GHS.

Appearance: Hazy peach flesh colored body capped by a thin, clinging head.

Smell: Pretty dank and grassy with a nice pineapple-y tropical fruit character. Marijuana, dried oregano, a touch of pine. The malt backbone is largely hidden.

Taste & mouthfeel: Very dry, with a clean and balanced bitterness. Hops are at the forefront, bringing an enjoyable mix of marijuana and herbal notes along with pineapple and grapefruit. Slightly spicy and peppery toward the mid-palate, with a negligible malt profile. Nonetheless, this does have a decent body. A grassy, slightly vegetal note builds on the palate after half a pint; it tastes like dry hops were left on the beer slightly too long. While this would be a better beer with a cleaner, brighter hop profile, it's pretty impressive stuff nonetheless.

Hazy gold with minimal off white head. Low retention and little lace. Aroma is of dry grass and grain with floral hops intermingled. Taste is on the lighter end for an APA, but good with grain forward flavor, a nice fruitiness, and sufficient hop notes of green grass and pine. Mouthfeel is medium-light, but with pleasant dry finish. Overall a respectable brew.

had a tulip of this one at golden road in los angeles. hadn't heard of this brewery so reckon it's worth a taste. orange-amber colored beer that left significant lacing along the sides of the glass. floral notes were the first thing i smelled, followed by something yeasty and bready. less citrus than i would have expected - try the taps cali gold for a solid west coast xpa - but this isn't bad. good dryness on the finish; medium-light mouthfeel. wouldn't seek this one out, but i would also be content drinking this again.

On tap at Rogue Ales in San Francisco.

Flowery, light style of a hoppy beer. Not much malty sweetness, but a light biscuity taste. Earthy sort of hoppiness along with some orange peel. Light-bodied mouthfeel. Resiny and pine scented aroma. Fragrant, hoppy nose with a suggestion of jasmine. On the woody side on the tongue. Could have been more carbonated for the flimsy body, but certainly drinkable enough. Not all that bitter for the mouthful of hop flavors.
