Corked but not capped, very small pop when opened. bottle #47 of 240
Pours with no head, just a few bubbles. Orange/Peach in color, Smells peachy with some white wine. Taste is orange, peach and white wine, very gueuze like. there is a lot of white wine but is somehow still mellow, not over powering the peach. White wine and oak on the finish. I enjoyed this more than expected. Even though it is still, it was quite enjoyable and drinkable.

This beer is presented in a 360ml bottle.
It was a blend of Fantasia and white table wine.
It is dated 10/13/2012 and labeled exclusively for the 2012 Brews for New Avenues beer auction.

The beer pours golden and still, urinelike in its appearance. Fortified urine, lots of veggies the night before. The aroma wafts pleasantly up and its nothing like urine. In fact, its quite funky. A distinct farm animal smell would dupe some into thinking there was a Cantillon before them. Apricot is present with a hint of cabbage, but in a good way.

Tastes flat though, not just because there are no bubbles. There is a definite presence of Flintstone vitamin. The white wine element overwhelms and puts this into the taste realm of either mead or sangria. The flavor we all love in Fantasia is there in the first sip, and requires consistent quaffing to keep the fruity brightness active on the palate.

As I stated above, this beer would be way better with carbonation. It seems to slip right over the palate and leave you with a tongue smacking vinous dryness. This beer was fun for 4oz, but no more is necessary.

Worth the $0 I paid for a taste, thanks to Oregonskibum. Sourheads may need to seek this WALE out for a once in a lifetime tick experience, but the wise or thrifty consumer will not repeat.

Thanks to Oregonskibum for sharing this. Poured from a 375 ml bottle at a tasting.

A- I got the dregs of the bottle, so my pour was super cloudy with an orange/amber hue. Since it's a still beer, there was no carbonation of any kind.

A- Light peach, hay, and a huge measure of funk. I think the large amount of funk is mostly due to the fact that I'm essentially sniffing dregs.

T- Lightly tart, a little bit of peach, some oak, and lots of funky yeastiness.

M- Light and fleeting. This beer is completely flat, and I think some carbonation could really help it out.

O - I'm very happy to try it, and it stomped all over the Flaming Fury that we opened earlier that day. However, with only 24 bottles around, it might be hard to track this one down.

Poured into a large snifter. Pours almost completely flat with little to no sign of carbonation. Color is a pale gold or straw color. The smell is disappointing compared to the regular Fantasia. The peach and apricot flavors, while present, are really muted. Some grassy, straw like flavors with some funkiness as well. Not sure if it's because I know there was wine added to this beer, but I do think there was a hint of it in the aroma.

Taste was suprisingly tart with the peach showing faintly, unfortunately. The white wine is more apparent in the taste, although doesn't add much to the overall impression of the beer. More fruit flavors would be nice. And carbonation. The beer lacks a brightness. Of course, mouthfeel is mostly flat and definitely hurts this beer.

Overall... This was tasted after a series of heavy hitters (BA DL, BA Speedway, etc.). The aromas and flavors in this are subtle. Since you expect the fruit to fade, the biggest knock on this beer is the lack of carbonation. And compared to the Flaming Fury that followed this beer (Fantasia Reserve tasted far better), I bumped the overall score a bit. This isn't a great beer on par with Fantasia, but is interesting and something I'm glad I got to try.

2014 release

A: Peachy orange, still

S: Peaches, white wine, funk

T: Is this white wine or beer? Whatever it is, the taste kind of blew my mind. Huge punch of white wine with juicy peach and a pretty intense layer of sour. Totally unique, totally delicious.

M: Drinks like wine.

O: This one goes into the category of one of the most unique beers I've had, it also happened to be delicious!

Definite dessert drink. Like a peach ice wine. Chardonnay carries the huge rounded peach nose and flavor. A balanced acidity and pure peach finish. Nuanced and interesting.
