Pier 1327 sits a block from Paralelo 12:27 and is owned by the same folks, but this place offers a bigger beer menu. It wasn't really exciting on the inside: a few wooden chairs and tables scattered around with some pictures of beer hanging on the walls. There is an outdoor patio where one can sit at, and I saw a flight of stairs inside leading to someplace upstairs. I stayed at the bar during my visit.
A fair mix of domestic and imported beers on the menu, leaning more towards import though. Eisenbahn's "big 4" on-tap, plus over 100 different bottles: DaDo, Schmitt, Devassa, Traquair House, La Trappe, Jenlain, Urthel Hop-It, Kilkenny, Hofbrau, Bitburger, Baden Baden, Coopers. Like many other BeerFly's in São Paulo, they had lots of Eisenbahn....but they were out of Weihnachts Ale! I settled on an Eisenbahn Kolsch, which was served with its own glass. Not too cold either. I saw many other pieces of glassware at the bar too. Prices are reasonable for beer.
The bartender didn't speak English, and I wasn't fluent in Portuguese, so communicating was interesting until his son intervened. He could speak English...it turned out the bartender wanted to give me a complimentary caipirinha after I had told him I was from California. According to his son, Pier 1327 is known for its caipirinha's, and many bartenders in training go here to be trained to make a good quality one. So....I got a free caipirinha after I finished my beer, and it was a good one too! When I was about to leave, I was told I was welcome to come back if I needed any help during my stay in São Paulo. I thought that was very nice and courteous of them. I would have come back considering I was staying in a hostel within walking distance, but I wanted to check out other worthy establishments as well during my short stay.
Overall, I would give this place a look. It's not far from Parque Ibirapuera and the Ana Rosa metro station. Come for both a beer and a caipirinha, you won't be dissapointed.
