Good food. Better than average beer selection. So-so atmosphere (unless you are a boater or retiree).

OK, so you don't come here for the atmosphere but the food is above average for standard Mid-western cuisine, nothing gourmet, but albeit, nothing bad either! Good burgers!

"Good" beer selection is limited but they do have a few gems from time to time. Sadly the average customer is more likely to order a Bud than a Bell's. Was happy to find Atwater Chocolate Decadence, Founder's Cerise, and several other Michigan beers on tap.

Great local restaurant.

Great microbrew beer selection (rotating tap of about 8 microbrews, mostly micros from Michigan) and excellent food compliment this place. Not only do they have great beer and food they also have excellent service. The many times we have gone there the service has stood out. The waitresses go out of their way to be sure you are satisfied. This only helps to spread good word of mouth about an establishment. There was an occasion where we walked in with a group of 6 or 7 and it was a good friend's birthday that night. We told the waitress that it was his birthday and we just figured that they would give him a shot or something. The manager came back to the table with shots for the entire table. Talk about going out of their way. Then he came back and gave the birthday boy an additional shot. We took note of this. So we have coming back ever since to continue to be wowed by the great beer and food. This is exactly what Monroe needed. Keep up the great work Harbor Inn!

Beers: Over the last few times visiting Harbor Inn their beer selections have included Bells, Dark Horse, Arcadia, Founders (They had KBS on tap once!!), New Holland and Original Gravity (Milan, MI). Nice mix of Michigan beers.
