Pours a reddish-amber colour with a slight haze to it. Foamy head but average retention. Looks pretty interesting, I like the slight cloudiness to it.
Quite sweet, with a touch of spice from the weizen phenols. Smells a bit on the boozey heavy side, but nice weizen characters with spice and a touch of banana.
Decent weizen notes on the palate as well, more touches of banana, clove and maybe some wattleseed on there but that might just be the rum blending in. Has a sticky overriding flavour over the subtle but decent weizen notes. Yeah, not bad.
Hint of heat again from the booze, slightly bitty and dry.
Curious take on the weizen and I can't say I could drink it every day. But enjoyable enough.

Slightly cloudy dark amber colour. Small creamy white head. Fair head retention.
Sweet and lightly fruity. Some banana notes and a little caramel.
Banana and clove with touches of caramel. This may be the rum.
Medium body with moderate carbonation. Okay.
An okay beer but it fails a little in execution with the rum lacking.

Had on-tap earlier in the year at the GABS festival in Melbourne.
Pours a reddish amber hue with some solid haze and a firm weight to the body. Head is a full, big, rich yellow crown, which leaves big sticky lacing. Looks great.
However it looks, it goes downhill from there. Mild wood on the nose leads to some oxidised wine character and a crystal sugary residue. Coupled with this is a slight burning booze sharpness, that seems to stem from the sugar. Hrmm...
Empty, watery start does not bode well for the rest of it. Mid-palate leaves some grain and some rummy, sugary character, that doesn't add any body: just empty insubstantial dryness. Slight green banana characters on the finish, but again, it's very empty. Feel is appallingly weak.
Pretty average first outing from S&W's side project. This feels empty in all the wrong ways, and gives a very bleak experience overall. You could scull it if you had to, but please don't make me.

Pours hazy dark brown with a large, lasting head.
Nose shows molasses, banana, clove and doughy wheat. No sign of the rum.
Flavours include more doughy wheat, banana, and sweet molasses. Pretty much exactly as the aroma promises. Quite drinkable.
Carbonation could be a little higher.
The molasses makes for an interesting spin on the dunkelweizen style, personally I'd like to notice more of the rum.

Ok a Dunkleweizen with molasses and rum added lets see sounds like it could work and pours a very dark non see through orange copper and leaves a beautiful creamy two finger head that stays and leaves heaps of clingy lacing everywhere, the smell is brown sugar, caramelized banannas, rock candy, raisins and a nice hint of rum,the mouthfeel is rather creamy and over medium bodied and has tastes of bananna bread, caramel candy, raisins, brown sugar,a touch of bittersweet toffee and finished like the label states with a hint of lingering warmth due to the splash of rum added and even for a bloke like me who does not like his rum i feel this is well done and perfect for a cold night like tonight and id drink again, good come back Stone and Wood after the last offering cheers.

On tap at GABS. From notes.
A - Poured cloudy with a dark copper colour. Strong carbonation, two finger light brown head of fluff. Spotty lace, film retention.
S - Really malty. Sugar, banana and spice. Mild but nice.
T - Weizen character was there with banana and some spice. Quite malty and the really subtle rum note was present and enjoyable.
M - Good carbonation, medium to full body and a clean finish.
O/D - Nice. Really malty and the rum character was a good compliment. Well put together.
