pours a clear amber with somewhat of a white head that goes away rather quickly, and an okay lacing.

smell is slightly hoppy, some malt, and a little citrus.

taste is like or average pale ale with a little kick, good malts that are a little on the sweet side, hops, some caramel, ends smooth with a little more bitterness than norm.

A slightly hazy orange in color with a big off-white head. Aromas of fresh mint and some orange peel. Taste is more mint and orange, with a toasty bread middle, and a piney, earthy finish. Mouthfeel is good. Excellent flavor for the gravity. Overall a very good pale ale that I would get again.

Appearance: Arrives with a clear amber color and a billowy head that leaves sheets of lace

Smell: Toasty, with a faint grainy character

Taste: Toasted malt and caramel, up front, followed by an herbal, slightly minty hop element; the resinous herbal character and caramel sweetness highlight the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Drinkability: Well-balanced but a bit lacking in the hop department; more of a malt forward pale ale

A- Light amber with a thin head.
S- The smell was underwhelming. Slightly malty, with some hops but not enough of either or both to be fully satisfactory.
T- Toasted malt, with just a bit of tropical fruit hoppiness that also has some minty qualities.
M- Light bodied and moderately carbed. This one didn't enough weight though.
D- A drinkable pale. Not my favorite pale but decent enough that it can go well with some BBQ. It's a decent beer, but there are better pales out there.

P: Served on-tap at Memphis Pizza Cafe and presented in a pint glass.

A: Pours a light amber color with a thin capping of foam.

S: Malt and subtle hops, and not much else.

T: Toasted malty flavor, followed by caramel overtones and subtle bites of hoppy bitterness. As it warms, bursts of citrus pineapple come into play.

M: Smooth and moderately carbonated.

D: Fresh and flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this well-balanced local offering.

Had at the Repeal of Prohibition party at Schlafly Bottleworks in St Louis.

This was one of the first beers I had at the tasting event. It has what I look for in an IPA - a nice citrus aroma (I also got a whiff of pine), a grapefruit like taste, a nice body, and bold hop goodness. This met all those qualifications. It had a slight oiliness to it, but it did not inhibit my enjoyment.

This was the in-house brew at BB Kings in Memphis, and after a Ghost brown at the Flying Saucer I knew it would be good.

But Damn! What a brew! A clear amber in the BB King souvenir pint glass, plenty of ivory head and lace...

But let's get to the taste. Wow, they say it's made with Glacier hops - I am now a big fan! This brew was one step away from a west coast IPA - tons of citrus, orange with a big hop finish. Thick bodied, oily sheen left after sipping. I was totally impressed, and look forward to the next change to sample this fine frosty.
