A: Poured a clear yellow with good carbonation and a small white head
S: Nose is pretty faint, some wheat and banana but thats about it
T: Tastes much lighter and much more muted on the flavors of banana and clove. Crisp and light.
M: Lighter bodied, crispness, taste falls flat on the end
D: Ok but not one to seek out. Go ahead and try the hefe.

Probably the weakest offering from Black Raven thus far. Had this one during late Spring as well.
Very unremarkable. Maybe they've improved this as I had it from the very first batch.
Reminded me of a watery macro to be completely honest. Needs improvement.

Served in a pint glass at the Green Frog Cafe in Bellingham, WA. Poured a severe clear yellow with a big, fluffy white head that dissipated quickly, leaving no lacing.
As this is basically a filtered Hefeweizen, the expected banana and clove aromas are the most noticeable. The flavor profile is similar to hefe as well, with a sharpness that doesn't fit well with the others.
The body is on the thin side, sliding over the tongue without leaving much trace of it's passage. This a very drinkable beer, although I didn't find it enjoyable enough to have several of. Your mileage may vary.
As this is a style I'm unfamiliar with these scores are higher than I was inclined to give, not having any reference points. An OK beer from a solid new brewery, try it if you see it, but you don't need to seek it out.
